Glass door on separate shower in master bath, no shower in DD's old bath - just an antique footed tub with a hand shower. Downstairs tube has a shower and it has a cloth liner and the shower curtain is a white pique one from Matouk. I like very simple for shower curtains and it is always folded back unless drying. A curtain across the tub reminds me of Psycho!

What a cute idea. Sometimes doors can be quite practical with storage used on the inside as well. But since you say that it is a tight space, and a bi-fold door would probably get in the way too, even if smaller (and is a hassle opening and closing a lot), you're looking for fun alternatives. I just Googled several things. Tried "Pom Pom curtains" and just got images of drapes with the trim in little balls that look like mini pom poms, that would be used on the edge of draperies or pillows. So then I searched "Pom Pom trim" thinking you could string them across the entire doorway to the floor. But they are so lightweight they might stick together and maybe also to her clothes when walking through it? Not sure how delicate the material might be with the added friction so not sure how it would hold up over time. Most of these seemed around 1/2" wide or so so might be smaller than you were thinking. You might get a few yards and just see how it feels. But there is a lot of it in various colors and prices. A lot under "Pom Pom string" and "Pom Pom curtain trim" for these. Or maybe this trim on some curtains might be ok? (But not as fun as your original idea): Then thinking how lightweight that material is and thought of the heavier vintage beaded curtains that were designed for that very use. I remember how cool they felt and sounded coming and going and did not get in your way at all. Remember those? (In old movies if not personally?) They seem quite popular and are readily available; no sewing needed. Lots of interesting wood beads (which can be ordered in multi colored) with string or macramé and others with fun clear multi colored beads and others with pearls. Some are random colors and others make a pattern. Lots of choices. Maybe these pictures will give you inspiration and some alternatives!! (Several of these are also from Etsy) Don't give up on your idea!! I'm sure your daughter will appreciate your fun nature and wanting to improve things for her!!!

I was surprised to find some interesting rugs at West Elm recently. These have a slight southwestern feel (which normally I am not a fan of AT ALL), but colors are really muted.
