Struggle to fit shower and tub in master bath

User

My husband and I recently purchased our first home, which has a lot of questionable design choices that we think haven't been touched since the house was built in the 80s. We're hoping to fix up the master bathroom this year, but where we're really struggling is how to handle a tub and a shower. Our current bathroom only has a small shower; we can shrink down the huge vanity and move the toilet to make more space, which leaves us with a roughly 4 ft by 6 ft rectangle to fit either a larger shower, or a shower and a tub. We don't like shower/tub combos since the tubs are never deep enough, but I don't know if we can fit both a decent-sized shower and a stand-alone tub. Husband has nixed idea of deep free-standing tub (like a claw-foot) with a shower and rod attached. Should we just give up on the idea of a tub and have a large shower, or can we fit both?

Our entire bathroom is roughly 6 ft 2 in by about 13 ft.

Thanks!
