A couple of posters have mentioned hard water. If this is a new experience for you, I would strongly recommend that you consider installing a water softener. When we built our home, we had to put in a well (our first time with one.) The water was tested for all the usual suspects, except for hardness. It made us weep to see all our beautiful Kohler faucets turn cruddy before our eyes, not to mention taking lousy showers, making lousy coffee, and doing lousy laundry. The softener became a necessity and not a "nice-to-have". Of course, hardness is all relative in that some folks have just a little hardness that can be tolerated okay while others can have very hard water. Yes, it's yet another appliance to maintain, but that hard water negatively affects so many of your home's systems.

Sometimes, but it's not far and it's so nice to have all the food in one area and organized. I love not having to reach into cabinets to find the food and it makes putting things away really easy. Having the counter in the pantry allows us to put all the grocery bags there from the store and empty at will without taking up kitchen counter space as well. It's probably one of the best decisions we made and I'm glad we did the walk through. Walking around the whole time would have been a real PITA. Good luck!

If the pool Installation was elevated and was designed to be virtually flush to grade, there is your issue with the steps. Who oversaw the pool design and installation and ensured that it worked with the master plan? But, even if the pool was not elevated, you don’t really have room for a realisticly large enough addition to the rear. Not with the pool placement shown. You would have had to pick a smaller pool, placed elsewhere for an addition, or no addition and the current pool location and shape. This is a Master Design fail.

What about a hidden inner closet for storing valuables or ? So it looks like a large closet, but there is a hidden panel/passage to another closet. :)
