Another beef roast ruined
Comments (46)Just came across this zombie thread. The mushroom soup Anita uses intrigued me. But one can has over half your daily sodium allowance, and MSG. Both of these probably make a very tasty roast. I think you could wing it with the ingredients of the soup, and use less salt and no additives. The ingredients I would keep match some of what earlier poster use: beef stock, water, mushrooms, tomato puree, flour, oil, a bit of wine, and then perhaps a little extra salt vs what you'd normally use (though I like to salt things to taste at the table - I find we use less salt overall that way.) My kids always like it when they go to dinner somewhere and campbell's soup has been used in the dish. It's all about the saltiness, I think. I think I'll put a chuck roast on the grocery list today. Yum....See MoreP & G changed and ruined GAIN Sweet Sizzle scent
Comments (8)I wrote to P&G about the Downy Fragrance to inquire if they ever considered bringing the original April Fresh scent back. The reply I received was a firm "No!". They explained that there are many other fragrances available they suggested I choose one. They did send me a coupon in the mail good for 1 free bottle of Downy. That was nice of them. I also heard that there may have been some hazardous chemical in the original Downy and that's why it hasn't been recreated. But I can't confirm this, someone else may be able to....See MoreA new LOW for P&G. Disgusting!
Comments (15)@sandy1616 I'm not trying to dispute your claims, but the pet food disaster I believe was sometime in 2007. I remember being really mad about it, too... even though we didn't have a dog. It just crushed me... knowing all those poor animals, defenseless... because some worthless, classless, piece of s@!t out there, was more concerned about profits... then others. It's worth noting though.. P&G wasn't to blame. The *recall* affected over 150 different brands of Pet Food. Edit - The FDA... has a very lengthy and well written briefing on the events, and why it happened on their website. http://www.fda.gov/AnimalVeterinary/SafetyHealth/RecallsWithdrawals/ucm129932.htm Now... P&G did *sell* off the Iams & Eukanuba pet food brands, sometime in 2014... But, I think they are still being manufactured in the same facility. I *did* a lot of research into this, because I was extremely concerned... when I heard the news about this. "Mars" pet food... is the company who makes, Pedigree. Not that there's anything wrong, with that brand, per say... It's just, if I was a pet-owner, I wouldn't feed my dog that brand. I'd probably stick with Blue Buffalo or Iams. That's what I'd feel more comfortable with... There was even a time before P&G took over Iam's in '99. Apparently they substituted some ingredients for slightly more corn-meal, and the sudden change, upset a lot of pets stomachs. Not that Corn-Meal... is the best ingredient, but... Iam's isn't a bad brand. It's definitely one of the higher tiers, until it's changed......See MoreUnbelievable!! P&G ruined Sun Blossom Downy (yellow cap)
Comments (7)I couldn't stand the Yellow cap Downy. I'm intrigued to see what they have done to it. I'm actually using Downy sweet dreams right now. It is warm and has a strong scent in the bottle, but leaves NO scent after drying. I'm kind of impressed. I only buy Downy because of frequent sales and coupons which generally makes it quite cheap. Too bad they discontinued the Tide version because it might have paired well....See Moreasko_buyer
