Thanks anoop....I stopped writing P&G, after they RUINED the classic scent of April Fresh Downy and then the scent of Original Scent Tide powder! It is a waste of time!!

P&G will send you some crap response....."Oh no, we're sorry you are not satisfied with the scent of XXXXXX. Consumer testing and product studies have shown the new and improved scent to be what the market wants. If you do not like the scent, consider using less, or trying another one of our crappy products ;) and yes Sh*t coupons I do not want, nor need.

I have a similar feeling for Henkel regarding the elimination of Persil Power Perls. I believe that you weren't a big fan (because of the scent?) but it was my favourite dry detergent. I can go to a vacuum or specialty appliance store and pick up European Persil, but I liked being able to get it at a lower cost from my local supermarket.

Good luck with finding a replacement (or the new old stock that anoop suggested).

OMG Larsi, I know how much you loved the Bounce scent pearls.

It was only a matter of time before they went and screwed with that scent.

To tell you the truth, I think Purex messed with my Fabulously Fresh crystals. It's just not the same anymore, not as "fresh".

P&G will never revert back to the old scent...they are so pig headed as a company. You can only hope they change it again and maybe it wont be so annoying.

It may take them some time to change. I used to be an Art of Shaving shaving cream user before they were acquired by P&G. As soon as P&G acquired them, they changed the formula and started using parabens. I complained to P&G and stopped using the product. My guess is that many others did so too, because a few months later they re-reformulated the product so that it was sans parabens. Unfortunately (for them), I moved on to a different brand by then and never looked back.

You can leave a 1 star review on Amazon? Every time I have tried to leave anything less than positive they delete it.

fordtech, I have been able to leave 1-star reviews in the past, and I do read a number of 1-star reviews from others, so I'm sure it's possible. What I'm not sure of is what may be causing them to remove some of the 1-star reviews.

larsi_gw, You could skip the note to P&G, but I think it's still worth leaving a review on amazon or your other favorite site to alert other consumers that it is not the same product that received 5-star reviews in the past.

Ive recieved items that were not even close to the item I ordered. Obvious substitutions for the genuine item. My reviews were deleted. So my warnings to other buyers were gone.

fordtech- were those reviews of the seller or or the product? I could see why Amazon would delete 1 star reviews for "fakes" on the product itself. Not so much on the seller if it was a third party.

I didnt realize you could leave both. It was a feedback review for the seller and the product i purchased.

Amazon is not honest. Many of the reviews are paid fluff where the reviewer got free product and they do remove negative comments. Don't buy from Amazon whenever possible. They treat the employees like robots and drive smaller stores out of business. On top of this they install spyware into stuff to snoop and sell your info. Now they want to put this snooping right into your home with the helpful ask me gadgets. Say no to Amazon, Google and Facebook.

Amazon's guidelines for posting states that review must be for product, not seller. If it is negative to seller, it must be posted on company's profile. Ask me how I know

Name one big company that does not engage in deceptive/dishonest/monopolistic business practices. To the extent they can get away with it, they will do it. They have teams of lawyers and accountants advising them on what they can get away with, and yet they are the target of so many lawsuits. If an organization starts rating companies on the ethical scale, the companies will find out what it takes to get a high score and game that rating process!

Twitter is the best mechanism I've found for leaving feedback to companies. Not saying anything will change, but worth a try.
