Teen bedroom color pallet ideas
Comments (12)Y’all are right. I didn’t expect my older son to be 5’ 7 1/2” tall at the age of 13 so we are now looking at replacement beds for the huge bunk bed he has. I wish we had thought about it though before we moved into our new home this past October. It’s going to be difficult to get the huge bed out of the house. This is why I’m not of fan of built-in furniture in a kid’s bedroom or playroom. I’m a fan of neutral furnishings with personality displayed through removable wall art, bedding, and accessories....See MoreAdvice needed: tiny teen bedroom layout/decor (colors/patterns ect)
Comments (1)I am interested to find a way forward with cyan, purple and yellow! What a challenge. I have teen boys too. Some boys care a lot about how their room looks, some boys don't care at all---I have both in my house, ha. First of all, you need to add to this thread a room layout. That will help. Next, with those colors, I would think in terms of a yellow comforter, cyan (bright blue, right?) colored sheets, maybe, and a little dash of purple here and there. Maybe some art or a wall hanging/tapestry (or a rug) with those colors can give you something to pull colors from. You haven't mentioned a budget?...See MoreIdeas for Bedroom Bench and Accent Chair
Comments (12)What do you think of this chair from Article? https://www.article.com/product/2581/mod-blue-berry-armchair I‘m showing it in every color for fun. I was really hoping to find something less MCM and more kind of vintage contemporary (think 1980’s Architectural Digest rooms). Velvet or silk, especially. But I am kind of liking the lines of this, and the texture ... but maybe it’s too casual? I’m mixed on it. (Be sure to scroll down and see each color in people’s rooms, if it does interest you. They look much better and more colorful than these mock-ups.) This looks dark gray here, but it’s actually a nice blue ......See MoreWhat desk to choose for a teen girl’s bedroom
Comments (41)Thanks for everyone’s comment! Some may be curious why I need to have a desk in my daughter’s bedroom…Yes, she uses it from time to time. I actually use it more often than she does for conference calls etc when working from home. The only office in the house is occupied by my hubby and he is on the phone 80% of the time. We have grandparents visiting during the day so dining/kitchen area is not good for working/studying. The only place I am able to have a desk is either master bedroom or my daughter’s room and the latter makes more sense. We really like Jan’s suggestion of white or pale pink desk. Evetually, we have decided to go with the white Chelsea desk at PBTeen because it is easier to change the color tone of the room without replacing furniture pieces in the furture. The desk is 21*55 so maybe I can also have a bookshelf beside it? ( Originally I was planing to place a skinny bookshelf on the right side of bed. That’s why I only got one night stand.) I also got new curtains, duvet cover and sheet as attached. Still need to work on the wall decor and maybe a new pinkish lamp. The inspo pictures always look so nice. For example, the darker pink velvet chairs add more depth of the black and pink tone. However, In reality, there will not be enough space to add anything extra to the room....See Moreeverdebz
