Comments (13)ideefixe thank you for steering me to Delias.com. DD loved the "Starstruck" set. She has decided on turquoise/agua paint and if she really wants the whole room that color, I can live with it. But I'm still going to try for one wall and the rest a lighter shade. Anyways, the only problem. Everything in the set is sold out! It won't be available till Feb for most things. If they don't charge your account till then, I'm okay... but I can't pay for it now and not get it till then. X-mas is right around the corner and if the set doesn't come till Feb - it'll be a b-day present. Now, I'm on the look out for lighting. I really want something like returnqueen has in her DD's room. Actually that would be perfect. I think my Lowes/Home Depot has one. Maybe she can get that now. Comments (2)I recently redid my 15-year-old DD's room and have seen several makeovers on this forum as well. Each is as individual as the girls whose rooms they are. Since often girls this age have very distinct taste, but don't know how to put it all together or see how all the various choices work together, what really helps is to find some inspiration pictures and work from that. A good place to start is with bedding: PB teen is a great resource for ideas; but often similar items can be found for less at JC Penney's, Bed Bath & Beyond as well as Target and Walmart. Check their websites for best selection. Look at solutions for dorm rooms to get ideas as well, though late summer/early fall is best time for this. Think about your daughter's storage and study needs and take those into consideration to see if you need to change augment her furniture. IKEA has many study, storage solutions as well that are relatiively inexpensive. Daybeds can be a good choice. Comments (1)Belle, I don't comment much these days, but I'm sure you'd like a response to this. What, exactly, is your question? A bunch of colours says nothing. It doesn't even make sense to ask people which colour they like best. What colour does your teen like best? Provide a pic or two of the room and of any items you know you/she want/s to use in it. If it's a blank slate, great -- but still let's see the room. Are you up to changing the flooring? Do you have bedding ideas? Curtaining? And so on ... Is that picture your teen girl's dream room? Give Houzz's very talented members something to work with....See MoreAlexandria Norm
