I seldom watch home decor on TV anymore but have saved over 150 pics from Sarah's site - and I'm not done yet! Will continue once winter comes. I like much of what she does and would love to be able to afford her to do my entire house. Or have her budget to do it myself. When she did the Oceanview Estate for a charity fundraiser lottery in the Vancouver area I was smitten with that house - of course I didn't buy a ticket on the lottery so I'm not living in it! LOL The link below shows a few pics from it and other houses she's decorated altho doesn't show many parts of the house that I especially liked. Schoolhouse, I love the style of your sofa that you posted once and IMO it's definitely a keeper. If you live near a school of upholstery I wonder if a student would take on your projects for less money than a fully qualified upholsterer. You might also inquire into trading for services if you have something of value you don't need/want. DIY is always an option and I've heard the most important part is taking lots of pics as you disassemble so you know how to put it back together again correctly. I watched both of them and i wanted to slap some sense into the parents of the gal that was in the beauty pagents.She was dumber than rocks. The second one made me cry,it brought back sooo many memories for me.I kinda lived that life all through high school.My mom died when i was 9,and when i was 13 i was sent to live with an aunt and uncle.The aunt treated me like that,uncle was always at work.I had to care for her 2 kids,and my grandfather(he had had a stroke),clean house,cook,laundry,and i mean with a ringer washer and hanging them out to dry.Plus going to the spring everyday to get water. I used to get migrains,and had very bad stomach aches.I toughed it out so i could graduate high school,which i did.After i graduated the wicked witch of the east,wouldn't let me go job hunting.Wanted me to stay home and take care of Grandad,her kids,the house etc.We got into a big fight,and i was able to call an older sister in another state,and she came and got me out of there,and took me to live with her.It was like going from hell to heaven!! Years later i ran into my cousins at a family reunion(the WW'S kids,i cared for) and the boy told me that he always thought i was his mom,and how sad he was when i left.Made me cry.As he got older he realized i was his cousin. Sorry,didn't mean to get carried away,that show just stirred up buried memories for me.I didn't think there was still people out there like that.It happened to me in the 50's. Kathi

How in the world did I miss all that? LOL I actually do watch the show, or at least I have it on while I'm doing other things. Guess I'm a very bad TV watcher as I'm now watching RHBH and am unsure whether to swag a finger at Kim or Taylor for the "Camille thing". Caught the end of the first showing and was almost in tears over Kim's and Kyle's fight. So sad for sisters to be at such odds. So sad for Kim. :(

This development may turn out not to be as great as its looks like after the new PM appointed Boris Johnson to be the new Foreign Secretary. The Daily Mirror today: "Boris Johnson was branded a “liar” and “irresponsible” by his foreign counterparts yesterday. French and German ministers both questioned the new Foreign Secretary’s fitness to represent the UK on the world stage. Jean-Marc Ayrault, the French foreign minister, said the pro- Brexit Mr Johnson had “lied a lot” to the British people during the EU referendum campaign and was “unreliable.” “I am not at all worried about Boris Johnson, but... during the campaign he lied a lot to the British people and now it is he who has his back against the wall,” Mr Ayrault told Europe 1 radio. He added: “He has) his back against the wall to defend his country but also with his back against the wall the relationship with Europe should be clear. “I need a partner with whom I can negotiate and who is clear, credible and reliable.” Germany’s foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier also ditched diplomatic niceties to brand Mr Johnson an “irresponsible politician” who “bolted” after Brexit . “People (in the UK) are experiencing a rude awakening after irresponsible politicians first lured the country into a Brexit to then, once the decision was made, bolt and not take responsibility,”Mr Steinmeier said. “Instead they went to play cricket. To be honest, I find this outrageous but it’s not just bitter for Great Britain. It’s also bitter for the European Union.” The personal attacks could make for an awkward first meeting when Mr Johnson joins EU foreign ministers and America’s Secretary of State for dinner on Sunday night ahead of a Brussels summit on Monday. In the United States, the state department’s deputy spokesman Mark Toner failed to stifle a laugh when asked about the appointment. Sweden’s former prime minister Carl Bildt tweeted the photo of Mr Johnson caught on a zip wire above the words: “I wish it was a joke, but I fear it isn’t. Exit upon exit.” Labour’s Kevin Brennan said making Mr Johnson Foreign Secretary was “the strangest move since Caligula appointed his horse a senator.” Mr Johnson has made a series of gaffes and has a history of insulting foreigners. The UK’s representative on the world stage will now be the pro- Brexit former mayor of London who smeared Barack Obama for having a “part Kenyan” heritage and once referred to black people as “piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles.” Mr Johnson has also described Hillary Clinton as a “sadistic nurse in a mental hospital” and her rival for the US presidency Donald Trump as “stupefyingly ignorant.” Last November he was forced to cut short a visit to Palestinian Authority territory after a Palestinian group took offence at his strong support for Israel.
