Anybody going to watch The Bachelor starting 1/3?

I'll probably watch since all my other shows are reruns right now.

I am not familiar with the new bachelor, Brad Wommack, but he is the one that chose to leave without a girl the last time he was on.

We've not enjoyed the show on tv so much in ages, made me think once again how great it'd be to have more entertaining and little less competition, to bring best of Idols and have some extra fun for everyone. No matter, all are winners, except me and especially my daughter, will be listening to Katherine and my younger daughter to Chris (her forever Idol). I think Taylor got the votes for being a friendly country guy -if the show was about congeniality he'd get my votes, he had fun and made us join in the fun, appearing more self-confident- a few years older helps, even if he was at times comical with his dances-we can all use more fun. It reminded us of the times when the "She Bangs" guy was picked as the winner on line, lol. We're fine with the fact Katherine took the 2nd place- it's almost or as grand as the top. Didn't see it. But I thought that Bentley was built by the British. Below is a couple of paragraphs from some of the history. Rolls-Royce. A new firm was formed, BentleyMotors (1931) Ltd, which was a wholly owned subsidiary of Rolls-Royce.W.O. was retained as an employee, but he had little say in the design of the new car that bore his name.Increasingly unhappy, he left when his contract came up for renewal in 1935, joining Lagonda,for whom he designed the LG6 and V12. He was also responsible for the 2 1/2 litre twin-overhead-camshaft six which powered the postwar Lagonda and went into the Aston Martin DB2. He died in 1971, by which time he was a revered figure to the Bentley Drivers'Club, welcoming many gatherings of the vintage cars at his home in Surrey. In the summer of 1933 the new Bentley was announced. Known as the 3 1/2 litre, it had a modified Rolls-Royce 20/25 engine in a new chassis which had been designed for a 2 1/2 litre Rolls-Royce that never went into production. In the Rolls-Royce tradition, only chassis were supplied,but the makers recommended a number of styles which were made in small runs by the coachbuilders. This cut costs consderably and also the waiting time for delivery. After the Second World WarBentleys became increasingly similar to Rolls-Royce cars, witha change to a more individual identity only coming in the 1980s. The parent company had moved from Derby to a factory at Crewe which had been built in 1938 for aero-engine construction, and this factory also incorporated a body plant. Here four-door saloon bodies made by Pressed Steel at Cowley,Oxford, were finished. Originally only Bentleys were fitted with these bodies, but from 1949 they also became available on the Rolls-Royce Silver Dawn. The decision to introduce a standard body was partly due to the high cost of custom coachwork, but also because the cars were aimed at export markets more than previously, and the traditional ash frame with aluminium panels was not suitable for some climates. Announced in the spring of 1946, the postwar Bentley was called the Mark VI and shared with the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith a new six-cylinder engine whose dimensions were the same as the Mark V Wraith, but it had a new valve outlet,overhead inlet and side exhaust valves. The engine was part of a range called B engines made in four, six and eight cylinder versions. The last was used in the Rolls-Royce Phantom IV and in an experimental Bentley nicknamed the "Scalded Cat". The six used in the Mark VI differed somewhat from that in the Silver Wraith, having twin SU carburetters in place of a single Stromberg, and a higher-lift camshaft. About 80 per cent of the 5201 Mark VI chassis made between 1946 and 1952 had Pressed Steel bodies, but there were also numerous custom styles made. In the ten years after the Second World War British coachbuilders became virtually extinct, but before they disappeared they built many magnificent examples on both Bentley and Rolls-Royce. At least fourteen firms in Britain worked on the MarkVI, as well as some continental coachbuilders. The body was much the same but had a larger luggage boot and automatic transmission was optional.

Sean and Christian are best friends and have been since they were kids I think. Christian at some point had an affair with Sean's wife Julia which produced son Matt. Not sure if that was before or after she married Sean. Sean didn't find this out until Matt was in his teens. But, being best friends he accepted it and let Matt have two dads. This development may turn out not to be as great as its looks like after the new PM appointed Boris Johnson to be the new Foreign Secretary. The Daily Mirror today: "Boris Johnson was branded a “liar” and “irresponsible” by his foreign counterparts yesterday. French and German ministers both questioned the new Foreign Secretary’s fitness to represent the UK on the world stage. Jean-Marc Ayrault, the French foreign minister, said the pro- Brexit Mr Johnson had “lied a lot” to the British people during the EU referendum campaign and was “unreliable.” “I am not at all worried about Boris Johnson, but... during the campaign he lied a lot to the British people and now it is he who has his back against the wall,” Mr Ayrault told Europe 1 radio. He added: “He has) his back against the wall to defend his country but also with his back against the wall the relationship with Europe should be clear. “I need a partner with whom I can negotiate and who is clear, credible and reliable.” Germany’s foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier also ditched diplomatic niceties to brand Mr Johnson an “irresponsible politician” who “bolted” after Brexit . “People (in the UK) are experiencing a rude awakening after irresponsible politicians first lured the country into a Brexit to then, once the decision was made, bolt and not take responsibility,”Mr Steinmeier said. “Instead they went to play cricket. Soooo many times I've said before the "season" starts that I'm not going to watch, then I end up getting suckered into watching.

But this time I am NOT going to watch. I have absolutely ZERO interest in seeing Brad Womack again; not to mention that I belive the show is totally contrived.

The reality of these REALITY shows is, they are not real. They may not be totally scripted, but I believe there is some, but formed by creative editing. As for this re-run bachelor, he certainly hasn't gotten any better looking or learned how to speak clearly. I don't understand why they are bringing him back. To answer your question.....LOL, probably not, unless there is nothing else to watch.

Since there is nothing else going on in my life, I will more than likely watch it.....and then swear to myself I will never watch it again.......I guess I love seeing the greediness of some, the stupidity of others and all the in betweens.

Nope. Ali cured me of watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette.

I did have it on in the background tonite for a bit. I just cannot abide all the squeaky squealing and pathos. Turned it off. Watched Three and 1/2 men and Mike and Molly.

I watched for a bit, no surprises except for the gal who thinks she's a vampire, teeth and all. She'll be good for ratings.

I didn't have a problem with Brad on his first season. He wasn't in love with either one and I applaud his honesty. As history goes with this show, why delay the inevitable. Why choose for the sake of choosing. I'm sure he didn't go into it with thoughts of dumping both gals.

I recorded it and watched the whole thing in less than 20 minutes. I didn't like him back then and still don't and the women are not the kind of women I know. Only about two or three ,I'd even consider. When did women get so obnoxious?

This is one reality show that I never watched a moment of or even thought about watching. But, um, there I was, at the gym last night, with one television already running over my head in the cardio room. Yep, I watched for an hour and felt myself getting sucked in but at least I didn't run home to watch the rest.

I have watched some bad tv in my life, but not The Bachelor. It always ends the same-the couple claim to be madly in love and break up a month later. No one ever gets married (with one exception). I'm surprised they are bringing him back and didn't just find a new guy? Actually, I'm surprised this show continues at all! lol

Okay...I'll admit it...I watched it.

Vampire girl is freaky! From the previews it doesn't look like there is too much drama this time.

thanks, Malexia, I ended up watching in spite of my saying I wasn't going to. I really expected more drama from vampire girl, but she left on her own accord. I kinda like Emily (the one who lost her boyfriend in a plane crash, then discovered she was PG) The one brat is Michelle, who just can't stop interrupting the other gal's time with Brad. Why do I end up watching this junk? I need a life!!!! LOL

I have been watching it. The women can't talk without using the word "like" a dozen times in a conversation. As for the bachelor that guy is looney. He stills goes to a "shrink" for guidance!!!! I wouldn't let my daughter within sight of him. If I had a daughter!!!!

Dotmom, I ask myself the same question, not sure why I keep watching this stuff. I'm also addicted to the all the Housewives series.

Emily is a sweetheart and I think she is too good for Brad. I'd like to see her as the next bachelorette. I hope they keep Michelle around because without her there is no drama. Nice to see that Vampire girl has a heart.

Matti5....I, too, watch the Housewives except for the NJ gals. I am looking forward to the BH reunion show. I guess it is a doozy. You are so right.....Emily would be a good Bachelorette.

So is the one that decided to leave the vampire girl? Don't know how I kept missing that but I certainly don't stayed glued to the TV. I've been watching just so I don't miss something.

OOPS! Think I did miss something! Why do they call her the vampire girl? If it was the one that left on her own accord, then I liked her. She seemed sincere. Or did I miss something else? LOL

Moonie, I call her Vampire girl because I forgot her name and yes, she is the one who left. I applaud her for being honest. She was on the Ellen Show yesterday and said it was hearing Emily's story that made her rethink the reasons she was on the show. Ellen greeted her wearing a set of fangs LOL.

Moonie, from the time she stepped out of the limo to meet Brad and until the night she left, she wore fangs. She told Ellen that she has been into the vampire lifestyle (whatever that means) for several years. She is an actress and model, so I think it was her gimmick to get noticed. It worked!

How in the world did I miss all that? LOL

I actually do watch the show, or at least I have it on while I'm doing other things. Guess I'm a very bad TV watcher as I'm now watching RHBH and am unsure whether to swag a finger at Kim or Taylor for the "Camille thing". Caught the end of the first showing and was almost in tears over Kim's and Kyle's fight. So sad for sisters to be at such odds. So sad for Kim. :(

I am so bored with show. I didn't like Brad the first time and still don't. I record it and then watch it in 15 minutes so I miss a lot. I went to Reality Steve and found out who he picks. That's how little I care.
