Thank you so much everyone for your comments. I was leaning towards the first or second fixture because they have halogen lighting, and I read that halogen lighting is best for the bathroom. However, I've been hesitant because I'm not crazy about the style. Those are out. Now it's between the third and fourth fixtures. I'm going for a more contemporary look in the bathroom, so I prefer the style of the fourth fixture. Can polished brass be contemporary? The downside is that I would have to get it in polished brass to go with the rest of my bathroom, and I think the brass takes away from the contemporary look. Would chrome look okay? My shower door and tub fixtures are all polished brass, but the sink faucet and cabinet knobs are two toned brass and chrome. The sink and tub are about 8 inches apart. I like the third fixture because it is two-toned, but the look is a bit traditional. Athensmomof3 (love that name), my medicine cabinet is directly above the sink. I've been looking at make-up mirrors. It's too late to get one that's hardwired. I've seen a lighted mirror that plugs in, and you can remove the cord from the mirror when it's not in use. I might get that one.

Natebear and snookums2 thanks to you both for commenting. I like the oval and that was always going to be the mirror, the one with the frame #1. Then I found that frame material and it looks lovely with my paint choices and the marble. The vanity will be painted a semi sheen light med gray. The walls are a light gray. Both will have blue undertones that really pick up the hints of blue in the finish on the frame. The sconces may have to go. I really like them but they are bigger than I thought they would look. I bought them online. The vanity will take up some of the depth to help offset the size of the sconces I think. The location of the sconces are set, but the style may have to change. The #s1 and 2 seem safe to me. #8 I am liking now, but it changes moment by moment! HElp! I will not commit to the mirror until the vanity is in in a week or 2. But I want to get some input with what I am thinking, and you guys always come through with great feedback.

olychick, thank you for taking a look. :) I'm relieved to hear you think a white shower pan is best. I am heading out now to find porcelain marble look tiles for the shower walls to pick up the gray as you suggested. I want a shiny finish to the walls. Tell me if you think that's a misstep. I am avoiding marble as I have a marble topped vanity now that is pock marked with etchings. As far as seeing myself in the vanity, yes, I think I will be able to do so. I was planning on a black framed mirror spanning the vanity. My current vanity is 32 1/4" high (as will be the new vanity) and when seated on my vanity stool my reflection is seen up to my chest. The only issue currently is that my knees are pressed against drawers. I failed to mention that I was thinking of using absolute black granite for the vanity top for two reasons: one being cost and the other being to avoid etching. Will doing so deviate too much from my inspiration? We IMO MCM bathrooms were not really all that great and cracked tile repair is iffy and honestly do you think the money spent to repair will be money well spent. Talk to your realtor , what sells in your area. I have a MCM ranch 1956 and two things I changed right away were the bathrooms and the kitchen( I even moved the kitchen) we don’t live in the 50s anymore and I don’t think redoing something to bring to a space into our century is a bad thing. I know so many on this forum want to stay true to the original, I want to enjoy my house for how I live.
