What do I do with this odd shower/window placement?
Comments (6)We have a very similar layout in our bathroom. We are doing a 3.5x4' shower & eliminating the tub all together. Our tub is right under the window with a tiny little shower in the corner where your tub is. We are taking the shower all the way to the window. This will not be a "dream" bathroom for us, but we are on a budget & this fits the budget best. We are not willing to put $20K into our bathroom at this point....See MoreWhat would you do about this odd little window?
Comments (9)It’s an open loft so there will be light regardless. The little window faces west, no view out that window except the roof. I think I’ll just ignore it to start. To be honest I’m not sure the room will get slept in much. The two beds are antiques inherited from my husband’s grandmother. They are an odd size at 30” wide by 78” long. So only really comfortable for kids. However, I love them and have always wanted a spot to use them. My kids are grown and we are years away from grandchildren I think. It is a nice spot for a nap or to read, I sit up there with my iPad and the little dogs love the little beds lol. Once my daughter settles down and has her own place they are promised to her. In the meantime I’m going to enjoy them....See MoreFunky Window Placement - what type of window treatment will work?
Comments (12)Originally I thought Roman shades, but when I read "lightweight, whimsical sheers", I thought of Urban Outfitters, https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/draped-shade-curtain?category=window-curtains-panels&color=004 and because all of their curtains are on the more whimsical side, I think you could pick any to use with a tension rod, because you don't have room for proper curtain rods, https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/window-curtains-panels...See MoreWhat to do with my odd windows
Comments (37)Maybe to camouflage the safe?, build a cabinet with doors ..... 'over' it, having no floor in the cabinet. (3 sided with doors and a top). Same height as the glass door cabinet. It can be different style doors. Then separate the 2 cabinets, which will be flanking a low unit or wall of Art, hung high & low, to visually feel intentionally planned to create a balance to that wall. Or .....add a New Cabinet the same height as the glass door cabinet, placed in the same spaces. Build a shorter cabinet 'over' the safe & place in the middle. Inspiration - Low cabinet (replacing Fireplace space in this photo) between tall cabinets...See Morearcy_gw
