Help with choosing colors of TV stand and couch cover!

Just moved into a new apartment and am working to spruce it up on an inexpensive budget. My goal is for the room to have a bohemian theme, full of rich colors and textures and very cozy feeling. I have this rug with a couch and ottoman on one end and the TV on the other. (The photo is a little curvy because I took a panorama so you could see the whole room in one.) The couch is very comfortable but the fabric is old and stained, so I want to get a cover for it as well as some throws and decorative pillows eventually. The TV stand I found for a steal at a thrift shop with the intent to paint it. I'm getting rid of the stand the TV is on now, so you can ignore that. I'm using the stand that's in the other picture. It isn't actually mine because I already took mine apart and forgot to take a photo beforehand, but it's the same model. I'm planning on making the glass doors into mirrors and want to paint the rest of it. Problem is, I don't know what color to make the stand or the couch cover! I want it to be cohesive but don't want it to be too matchy matchy or boring. For reference, the walls are a cream color and the carpet around the rug is brown. Any advice on color choices would be greatly appreciated!!

BM Hale Navy or SW Tricorn Black would be a great color for the TV stand..I would go to Home Depot or Lowe’s and pick up some round or square chunky furniture feet/legs and add them to the tv console.....maybe add a gold handle you can pick up from a antique store...something a bit funky.....if doing a slipcover I would do a neutral and add loads of kilm or mud cloth pillows....

You could do more mid century legs if you can find them....is your tv console solid wood? If so you could just stain it in a medium brown like the above image...beautiful.

Thank you Yvette. I am so happy to see that pic with the credenza. I will go on the hunt for more tables. I will measure the arms on the chair and take that into consideration. Not sure who the manufacturer of the sofa is but its sold at raymour and flanagan. Its called the Lenox. I am sure if you use their live chat they can tell you the manufacturer.

Honestly, you can go any way with the stand. Before you buy the stand, however, you should at least have an idea of what other pieces you plan to put in the room to make sure they all play well together.

Those are great suggestions, thank you!! The stand is not real wood, unfortunately, otherwise I would love to stain it. Adding legs would be great though! The room is a bit off balance right now with the big heavy couch on one side so I think adding legs to the stand would probably help with that.

I'd like a rich blue for the console, and keep the couch in the khaki zone to go with rug and rich feel.
