OT: Happy Halloween (Costume Pictures)!!!!!
Comments (16)Oh Man, Halloween is my absolute favorite. DH scared more adults than he did kids! LOL He put on a Ghillie suit and sat around in the yard. One young one squealed, jumped up did a 180 and ran to his parent. Both DH and the parent laughed over that one. Haha! I so love Halloween! The only time of the year we can legally scare the crap out of everyone! =D DD's boyfriend put on the ghillie suit, sat out beside the spirea at the end of the driveway, a couple of female parents with a group of youngsters wandered up to get candy from me. I handed out candy, walked part way out the door to watch the group walk down the drive. Dustin leaned out from the spirea and boo'ed them. Haha! Poor little boy lept about 4 ft to the side, screaming grabbed his momma's leg. His mom laughed so much! Oh Lordy I had so much fun! =D I R Evil! Next year, DH and DD's boyfriend will be deployed to out of country locations, so my middle son will wear the ghillie suit. I'll have more decorations in my yard. This year, we didn't have corn stalks or pumpkins out like normal. I didn't get to grow any this year, corn did poorly. I'll get photos next Halloween! Hope everyone had a spooktacular Halloween! =) ~Tina...See MoreNEW: Petal Pushers - Halloween Masquerade Party!
Comments (151)Debby! Thank you so much for my halloween box! I love it all, most especially the sweet note. You and I have been having similar weather and doing the same things with our days. I am getting a few beds rearranged before the bad weather hits and taking advantage of these beautiful warm days! Deb Sent... Oktoberfest Iris (a brilliant orange bloom) Parrot Tulips (creamy base that has deep pink/peach tips) Red Magic Daylily Red Tulips Black Prince Snapdragon Seeds (Gorgeous! I will definitely be wintersowing these!) Gypsy Queen Hyacinths Queen of the Night Tulips The kids loved the metal spider basket and the Planet Earth Books! They are bugging me to go pick up some candy to fill the basket and confiscated the books as soon as I pulled them out of the box. lol. They'll have to wait on the candy till they work for it going door to door. :o) You made my day with all the bulbs. Mine disappeared on me. Dug up the one bed to re-do the border and divided the bulbs and only found one sad little bulb in all that dirt I sifted through. Thank you so much for everything. I will be planting like a happy little gardener tomorrow. Good luck with your bed by the mailbox. My neighbor across the street has her's surrounded by a stone border and has lots of lamb's ear, alliums, tulips, and some type of mounding grass. It looks great every year even with the snow plows dumping heavy snow and spreading salt in the winter. So Ta DA! One more masquerading petal pusher has been revealed! Thank you Vic, this has been a blast!...See MoreAny good Halloween costume ideas?
Comments (63)I didn't end up going to the Halloween party (didn't know the hosts well, and likely wouldn't know most of the guests, but I had my husband convinced to go until our friends backed out), but I am wearing a variation of the 50 shades costume today at work. Gray sweather, black pants, gray boots and a necklace made of 50 shades of gray paint chips!...See MoreHalloween Party Pictures
Comments (7)FUN! We moved into town last year after 33 years in the country with ONE trick or treater. Last year we had a party the week before Halloween and asked everyone to bring a bag of candy. We figured we had 1300-1400 T-or-Ters both last year and this year! (you can U-tube halloween on McDonald Ave, Santa Rosa to get an idea of the craziness!) We didn't get around to having our party this year and spent about $150 at costco on candy and ran out by 9:00! Oh, and we are at the END of the avenue! We'll certainly be having an annual party from now on! Nancy...See Moremoonwolf_gw
