Who am I? ;)

I made most of my costume. The top hat, the shawl, the skirt, the boots, the tambourine, and even the microphone. I sewed lace into the sleeves of the blouse.

Nope, it was made with Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable in the color "Stained Glass". My local Wal-Mart doesn't carry it anymore, sadly.

You knit? Adn the gloves!! Oh My! perfect!!

Yes, I knit and crochet, although I haven't knitted in a very long time. My top hat, shawl, and my boots were crocheted. I prefer crochet to knitting. That shawl is one big half granny square. I love the yarn I used as it drapes beautifully and it really looks great when I twirl in it :).

Those gloves came from Goodwill, as did my wig. Believe it or not, they both were brand new. Goodwill sells some new items, oddly enough. This is definitely one of my favorite costumes that I have ever made. I also made my jewelry (crescent moon pendant and dangle earrings).

Here's another shot of me in costume. If you haven't guessed who I am, I am Stevie Nicks. I LOVE her and Fleetwood Mac.

Brad, I love the costume and I got a huge charge out of Cheech and Chong, having grown up in the late 60s and early 70s.

That's quite a group: An elf, a knight in shining armor, Cheech and Chong, a nun and Stevie Nicks! LOL

LOL Actually, the elf is a Peter Pan costume. The man who is with the nun is her boyfriend and he came as Marilyn Manson (and really nailed the look). The lady with the fur coat and stuffed cat is our costume mistress (she was a crazy cat lady), I think the lady with the aviator hat is Amelia Earhart (her young sons came as a faceless ghoul/phantom and a werewolf). The one other lady with the gold halo came as a Holy Cow lol. I had some of Stevie's music playing and I lip synced to a few songs (Dreams, Stand Back (complete with the shawl twirl), and Landslide).

Lots of yummy food and fun last night! I cannot wait until next year. I already know my costume for then. Since it's going to be the 25th anniversary next year of Hocus Pocus, I will be completing my Winifred/Winnie Sanderson costume (the overcoat), and going as her. I just need two friends to be Mary and Sarah.

Stevie Nicks! Of course! What a great job, you did Brad. It looks like everyone got into the spirit and you all had a great time. You always put so much effort in your parties.

You crocheted the boots too?? I love those. I'm just finishing an afghan, I don't have the creativity to make slippers and boots. I love, love slippers, I might try doing those at some point.

Jasdip, yep I crocheted the boots, too. You take a pair of flip flops, punch holes in them, attach the yarn through the holes, and you crochet up and around. The lace was my own personal touch, and I loved how these turned out. They're comfy, but not waterproof lol. I did try slippers, and they turned out okay. I made the hat, too :).

I haven't dressed for Halloween in years, but still partake in it, in some small way. Today, I sculpted a Medusa cake, and I have a snake painted on my face, so I'm good ☺
