Finished Valentine Decor & Dollbaby Ready for Val Day(pic heavy)
Comments (8)Gosh Jeanne...I'm sorry I'm late, but so glad I didn't miss this. Love all your beautiful Valentine touches and especialy seeing Dollbaby enjoying the holiday too! Your berry garland candleholder looks so pretty and your buffet in the background always looks lovely. Tea Set looks nice and shiney and with the red accents added makes a beautiful vignette. Dollbaby's new/old outfit is so cute - even her little shoes! Her little tray scape - even crocheted placemat is adorable. I have to say, my eye was drawn to her little cupie doll...I can't believe your Mom made that cute little outfit...how precious. I'm amazed you got this all done in such a short time. I'll bet you're releived your floor redo is over and now things are back to normal! I hope you're enjoying it all - I enjoyed looking! jane...See MoreUpdate & Progress Pics on DD's Vintage/Shabby BR
Comments (36)justgottabeme: That is a very sweet story about your Mom. DD seems to enjoy having my attention on her room--sometimes before she'd get annoyed when I spent so much time on "decorating." What I am doing is sifting through the myriad of choices to 1-3 choices which I think are acceptable in terms of cost, color and durability and have let her make the final choice. Having this forum as a sounding board to determine the options is very helpful, but for the most part I try to let her make the choices. The JCP rug is a tad smaller than I'd like, though bac717 brought up a good point that with JCP returns are not a problem. I may actually work from the chair fabric backwards and see which fabric she chooses then choose the opposite color for the rug since we have two options. One concern I have with the dotted fabrics is that they are all 100% cotton--and perhaps not the most durable choice for the seat cushion. Here are some of the ones from the Susan Sargent line I thought could work. The first two are woven and look to be of a heavier weight. cartwheel: 54% cotton, 46% polyester, woven jacquard medley: 60% cotton, 40% rayon, woven linen dot: 100% cotton, printed...See MoreCurrent pictures of Val and some good news
Comments (38)I appreciate it and I will think about it but it's my choice to take on all these animals. The shelters that I work with rehabbing wildlife, donate almost all of my dog and cat and raccoon food. I also feed it to the hogs and I am getting ready to sell 12 of them, so that money goes to the horses. Right now I am waiting (and stressing) over that double payment for Val, to be resolved by PayPal....See MoreVal Update
Comments (32)Val is a Quarter Horse....they are known for their powerful hind quarters, so he will have a nice butt once he gains some weight. ;) Finally was able to coordinate the vet and the farrier. Got Val scheduled for January 30th. Wish it could have been sooner. I need to sell some pigs to give me a little financial cushion. That will be another $300 plus. Hopefully once this is taken care of, it will just be his feed and hay!...See More- 8 years ago
