Are you going to strip the multicolored cabinet doors?

Lol yes - i was trying different paint colors. I really wanted a white kitchen but it just doesn't go with the tile. The 2 paint colors on the doors are Rockport Gray and Sandy Hook Gray.

will you be replacing the tiles, eventually? if so, paint your cabinets the color you want. don't waste time matching it to these tiles that aren't going to last. even if it's a year down the road.

find a big neutral looking rug or runner to cover up what you can. Sisal, jute, whatever. If you bring in a thinner vintage type island, it will also help hide some of the flooring.

as for those cab colors,,,don't care for that green/gray shade.

I’m not sure if we plan to stay in the house long enough to remodel which is why I was trying to work with the tile. And yes both the Rockport gray and Sandy Hook gray look green but could be the lighting. I love that island and will defn work on that! There is a large L on the other side of the kitchen but there was too much clutter to include a pic. Would you do darker cabinets and lighter wall color?

Since you really want white, try prepping and priming the cabinets with white primer. It'll be much easier to pick an off white that will go well with the floors and counter. But do change the lighting before finalizing your color choice, at least, change the bulbs to warm white LED bulbs.

Sisal rug, island, paint the cabinets, and replace counters when you are able. I had white cabinets and wood counters in my last home and loved them. Counters were warm and gave a farmhouse feel and weren't expensive.

I don't love the tile either, but on my monitor it doesn't look bad with the wall and trim colors you have now. I think you can get away with white cabinets just fine, maybe white dove like your trim so you're not adding another color to the mix. You can also paint the wood strip on the counters. My in-laws did that.

The counters look a lot like the floor tile. I agree with others not to spend a lot of energy and time trying to find a perfect color to coordinate with a tile you don't love. If you're not going to remodel, white cabinets is a pretty safe choice for resale (and your first color choice) so I would just go with that. Area rug is another great suggestion to help it fade into the background.

I agree with the suggestion to prime and then reevaluate the white or off white.

As far as the counters, I used a fake granite/thick vinyl in a rental. It's held up beautifully for over 4 years now. Obviously, it doesn't look like real granite but some of the contractors were mightily impressed. https://ezfauxdecor.com/granite-film/

Alternatively, IKEA laminates are nice and if you can DIY, a good price. I really like their concrete look.

Paint the floor, it can be done. google painting tile. I have painted tile, others have too. I don't think it's worth redoing anything until floor is replaced or improved.

or what about doing a floor over it? there are really great faux wood flooring that is affordable. it's a peel and stick.
