Help need with choosing exterior colours

We're remodeling a neglected house that we plan to rent out. I'm looking for advice on what colour(s) to use on the exterior. It's an eyesore right now.

We can't change the brick, shingles, garage door or the brown gutters/downspouts but everything else will be replaced or painted. The siding can also be painted, if necessary.

blue grey bricks, with a red shutters and garage, and either black or white trim. Or, white bricks, with black shutters and garage, and a dark grey trim. Both would be very striking.

dawnk, I would choose a warm-ish color for the siding due to the roof color. Possibly something similar to the garage door color. That color appears to blend with the brick mortar on my screen and would work with the roof. The shutters look small...each shutter should be half the window's width. When you say you can't change the brick, do you mean painting it? I wouldn't.

thanks! grey-greens now that's an idea, I will look into it! nothing is really finished yet but I'll try and post a good shot of the kitchen and bathroom soon. the pink bathroom was definitely what clinched the place for me!

I like the colour of your siding & wouldn’t change. If this is a beach house, I would paint the front door a soft beach glass blue/green. I would also play with the colour of your trim. Perhaps a darker version of the front door colour instead of white. So everything that is currently white, paint a darker grey-ed blue/green.

I don’t think there is any green siding. I think it is a tan or taupe color. After the rain I will get a another pic of the siding up close. I totally agree about the front porch. My sister gave me the bench before she passed so it is like gum on my shoe but maybe I could up-cycle it into something small and lighter in color. I have thought the same thing about a rug as well. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I so badly want to feel like our homes exterior makes sense and matches.

I would remove the shutters, paint the door/storm door dark red, and get some landscaping.
