Parking Lot Salt Concerns for Weeping White Spruce

Any suggestions for how I can give these 3 Picea Glauca Pendula trees a
good life in our church parking lot. This is New Hampshire where we use
salt on the roads. I have used a type of "anti-salt" tablets in
planting other trees in the area but the jury is out as far as how much
salt effect they are preventing. Will putting them in a berm be enough?
The trees aren't planted yet... the picture is my doctored photo. The island has a bigger footprint than this photo shows. I should be able to give them about a 5' margin from the drive. .... I guess that means after I'm dead and the trees have matured to full width, they could be as close as 2.5ft. from the drive. That DOES seem too close!
