Please help me make this bedroom furniture work
Comments (4)My bedroom furniture has a similar wood color with sherwin Williams silverplate 25% lighter and it looks wonderful together along with off white simple linens. Comments (9)I love all the suggestions - thank you! Now I need to take pictures of all my rooms and look at them, because I hadn’t realized how bad that chair looked over there until I saw the picture! 😬 As you can tell, the furniture wasn’t bought for this room. We were shocked that everything fit when we moved. I don’t think I can convince my husband to take the fireplace out - he really likes it, and we do use it in the winter some. Unfortunately all the wall space in my closet has built in shelves so no room for the tallboy. The shelves aren’t full so I may see if I can shift some things around and get rid of it. The chair is a smaller size recliner and I don’t know that I can find something much smaller. We have a vent in the corner that the chair would cover there. I don’t use it as much as I used the chair I had at the old house so this one may go. But then do I need something on that wall? I like the idea of getting bedding I love and adding a throw for the dog. We keep our door closed most of the time so that might work. I’m going to look for a white curtain rod and try hanging curtains right below the molding - I like that look! I wish my husband were handy because I’ve always loved the look of mounding on the wall. I’ll have to think about that......See MoreBedroom Nightstand help!
Comments (12)So I ended up having to cancel my order on those nightstands, as I remeasured and they would not fit in our space. Now I’m trying to find something a bit more narrow (26” or so each) but having trouble. @Lisa Caudill I could still use some help if you come across anything else that may work :)...See MoreHelp with Area Rug and Nightstands, Lamps in my Bedroom
Comments (6)Looking good so far. Maybe whitewash the nightstands? Will require stripping, then just mix white paint with water - which is an easy way to whitewash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1e2dC3VaOo Secondly, change the hardware on nightstands to make them appear more french provincial? Then add a rug. Maybe something like this? https://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Momeni-Manhattan-Ombre-Hand-Loomed-Wool-Rug-96-x-136-96-x-136/6220031/product.html?opre=1&option=8397764 Finally, add a frame picture, weaving, metal sculpture to add additional yellow, orange, blue, etc....See Morecawaps
