weird bugs...hmm...good or bad???
Comments (5)It's very difficult to notice the damage from most piercing-sucking insects, especially if they're concentrated on stems or floral structures like they are on this corn plant. Those critters look like a froghopper of some kind. They have needlelike mouthparts which they use to pierce plant tissues and then suck the sap out. I doubt very much that your diatomaceous earth applications will be of much help in controlling these insects. Since I don't know the species, I'm not sure what this froghopper wants. If they're just on the stems, I'd not worry too much about them unless you start seeing them by the hundreds....See Morehelp! my plants look weird (with bizarre pic goodness)
Comments (9)I forgot one important detail. In early April, when most of the plants were at 2 or 3 leaf pairs, they were looking spindly (we mistakenly started some tomatoes at the same time, which grew faster and forced us to push the lights higher, so perhaps the peppers were reaching), so we pinched off a few leaves on many of the peppers in the hopes of getting them to bulk up the stems and slow down. The two groups we didn't do this with, Habs and Ajis, actually look pretty much like the store-bought plants. So maybe this mutant-looking situation came from pinching off the leaves. Can anyone comment on this possibility? And if this is the culprit, are the plants shot or can we still use them?...See MoreWill this combo look weird?
Comments (4)I don't think it will look goofy. However, have you looked at Scherr's or Semihandmade for fairly affordable doors in any color, that are made exactly to fit Ikea cabinets? I love Ikea, and that's the route I would go. You're going to all this trouble, and getting good cabinets. Maybe just look at those websites to see how much it would cost to go that extra step. That's what I would do....See MoreBathroom renovation - good combo?!! need advice, again ♀️
Comments (33)Have you purchased the vanity yet? I really like this size of the piece, that it floats, and the storage, it but I am not getting the wood with the black and white or grey and white. Your inspiration pic is wonderful, and while I'm sure you know that you are not going to get that exact look, I'd hate for you to assemble all of these pieces and realize that it misses the mark by a lot. Did you try to find a floating vanity with a dark wood, or in black, or grey, even white? Check out this post about using 12x12 diamond checker board in a small bathroom. https://stefanasilber.com/checkerboard-floor/ Look at this pic. Pay attention to the sliver of wood flooring at the bottom of the pic. I just don't get anything from seeing the light wood and grey and white checks. Plus, the grey of your tile is even more washed out than this black-ish grey marble. And dear lord, enough toilet lid scolding. Please people. Chill....See More- 9 years ago
