Dilemma for above vanity tower & lighting
Comments (41)It's true the LED strip is a little bit brighter than we would like at night so we might try to find a way to diffuse it a bit. But we love the fact it goes on everytime we walk in & turns off after 5 minutes of no movements in the bathroom. That's a great thing about Angie's list. I always tell providers that I found them through Angie's list & I'm not shy about telling them that I always post reviews there. For the most part, they make sure I'm really happy ;-) canuckplayer, I know from the rendering it's hard to tell but my tower is 15" above the counter. It's really easy to access the space under. Just like it's easy to access the counter under kitchen cabinets. My DH didn't put things away before because he had no where to put things other than on the counter. Now he will have lots of storage over & under the counter. Everything will be very easily accessible. Hopefully I will get the wallpaper delivered & installed by the end of this week & the mirrors also. Once the wallpaper is up then we can installed the towel bars & magnifying mirrors next to each sinks. Pictures coming soon :-)...See MoreURGENT! Last minute change to giant tower on vanity. Comments (12)i don't do a lot with make-up, but i do find it much roomier than a traditional med cab. it is nicer for wide things... like i keep a whole q-tip container in there & it fits fine, whereas before i had to transfer some into a smaller container every so often & keep the larger pack in a closet. i also can keep more meds/vitamins in there, since they fit more to a shelf now. other things, like deodorant & lotion & brushes still take up the same amount of space as they used to, since they are used daily & can't be "layered" very well with other things, at least for my use. i like to be able to grab without thinking in the morning :) and if i have something behind my lotion, etc., it will be in my way when i go to grab it & make me mad :) hope your decision works out for you! lisa...See More54" vanity--how to config for maximum storage
Comments (16)Thanks again everyone. I finally found 1 tall drawer in my house. It's in the kitchen and the clearance is about 8" tall. Presto. Every "tall" bottle can fit. What a miracle. The drawers on the crappy low vanity are 7" tall--who does that? Just one inch more would have made a huge difference. So I think I may join Team "Tall Drawer" and also put pullouts under the sink. If I have taller drawers, I'm wondering if I could still put a drawer under the sink cabinet. Here is someone's compare and contrast My vanity is only 4.5' long so the proportions would be a little different. But maybe this last idea could work? What do you think? Then maybe a u-shaped pull out under the sink? Hmmm...I just googled and did not find anyone who did a u-shaped pullover and then a drawer beneath. Maybe keep the center doors and have two layers of pullouts in there. (maybe the extra work/cost of the separate drawer isn't worth it. Plus with the proportions, maybe doors-only is a cleaner look. thanks everyone!...See MoreGrey vanity with white storage cabinet
Comments (3)Thanks AJCN and eld6161.The vanity with the cabinet was not on sale and didn’t have a lot of drawers and sectioned cabinet .It’s not a big bathroom and we‘re thinking of doing a walk in shower with grey walls. This is the layout of the bathroom so closet would be on the opposite side next to the toilet. So far we’ve ordered the vanity and the linen closet....See MoreFori
