Annie, is that Queen Ann's Lace? We had that in Ohio. I haven't seen any in many years. I don't think it grows here in Georgia.

I tend Queen Anne's Lace as if it were a flower in a flower bed, but I do let it grow natural, just being cautious not to mow it down. There seems to be a bit more of it growing on my property this summer than in recent years. Do you remember how people used to put the stems in colored water and the blooms would "dye".

Lots of people tasted it, including me, and it got rave reviews!! There was another tasting of a quinoa salad and I do have the recipe for that, if it's something you might like. It also got rave reviews. The people making these dishes are challenged to use mostly ingredients that can be found in our market. It's fun.

Murraysmom, that red cabbage salad looks terrific. I'd love the one for quinoa salad, if you don't mind. I do use quinoa in place of bulgur wheat when I make tabbouleh.

Schoolhouse, yes, I remember doing that with the Queen Ann's lace to change the color and also doing it with celery.

Me too, schoolhouse. I remember doing it with other things too, such as daisies. But we could pick all the Queen Anne's Lace we wanted and try out different colors. Of course Mother would have a fit when she realized we were using up all her food color with our experiments.

Bob that's one place I've wanted to visit for a while. Hopefully some day!
