An iceberg we saw on our whale watching tour. Can't tell from the picture but it was huge.

Comments (11)Karen... That falcon has been hurt...either shot with buckshot; attacked by another falcon/predator or flew into something impenetrable. From the pattern of blood spots on his breast...I'd probably opt for buckshot. Breaks my heart to see a bird in this condition but falcons and hawks aren't always appreciated by farmers and the like. In any case...if you frequent the area where you took this photo...keep your eyes open. Depending upon what caused his wounds...he may become unable to fend for himself...becoming more visible than is healthy for him [or perhaps dying] until any missing wing feathers fill in. 9 years agoNot sure if I offered this one before. This is a long shot of Hubbard Glacier. It has been 'retreating' for several years. The light colored rocks on both sides show where the glacier had been during the past 10 years or so.
