Silver Polish Problem

I have some silver pieces, a couple lamps and other things that need polish on occasion. I used to use Wright's Silver Polish paste and don't recall any serious issues until the last few years. I began noticing that the silver began turning a light yellow. My first thought was that my polish was old, but instead of just getting a new Wright's, I got some liquid Tarn-X (wipe on, rinse off). I had ended up with a large silver service with a large heavy trey and it seemed like a faster way to get polish on. However, it also created the light yellow and if left longer without re-polish, almost orange.

What am I doing wrong?
