You might look on etsy for personalized signs. My friend that is single bought her first home, I bought her a really nice wood hand crafted sign that said the best is yet to come. She put it above the mantle and loves it. For someone who is just starting on that journey it fit.

As a single woman who has owned a few homes (including one condo), I would love a portrait of my home. You can search on ETSY for "painting of your house" or "home portrait" to see several examples that range in price from $25 to several hundred dollars. Frame one of these and you have a personal, portable gift!

What about a custom address plaque?

For the first time home owners in our family, we have gifted with gardening books (if she has space for a garden), a basic tool kit, a BBQ, potted citrus for the patio, and I treated myself to a return address embosser to use on stationery.

A nice card with a hand written heartfelt message and include a generous gift card from Home Depot or Lowes.

I tend to go towards more practical gifts. She will have so many purchases to make while setting up a home. Extra cash might be tight between closing on a house and moving, buying furniture, etc. I would maybe do a small personalized object and a gift card to Home Depot or Target.

Since it is a condo, would confirm usefulness of any outdoor things. By time I "bought," I rented and had already acquired the usual "new home" type gifts.

I like the idea of a small personalized gift, a few are already mentioned, and a gift card to Lowes or Home Depot. Or even Amazon. How about a gift of Amazon Prime membership for a year?

How about a picture frame engraved with My First Home Est: 2017 and a very nice picture of the house or with her standing in front of her door with her new keys. With that I would also include a gift card to one of these places. Amazon, Bed Bath and Beyond or any place that has nice housewares.

I bought a new house last year and even though I had things from my old home I found a lot my stuff did not quite fit in the new house. Colors weren't right or things were just plain worn out and I found I was hitting up Amazon and Bed Bath and Beyond a lot for bedding, towels, small kitchen stuff like replacing my old ugly cookie sheets, picture frames and odds and ends like that.

A gift certificate to a picture framing place, particularly if the condo is larger than her previous home.
