Picture of living room. I hate to use this one but it best shows my normal furnishings. This picture is dark, so the wall color is lighter in this, it's more of a soft tan than the dark tan it looks in the picture. I know it's hard to see the floor but it is a cherry colored bamboo wood. TV is now wall hung with the black media cabinet underneath it. Black shelves shown above TV are gone. Same floors and other furnishings are the same. We also do have a red loveseat in the room not shown in the picture. There is also another window on the other side of the TV, so there are 4 windows total. 2 that frame the TV and the double one on the back wall. Hey There: Window Coverings and the design of the house must go together and furthermore you must keep the function in mind. In you case I do recommend to layer the window coverings... As I can see in your pictures, you might have a privacy problem if your don't close your coverings, but of course your don't want to sit all day in the dark. So as a first line of defense (literally spoken of course) you go with minimalistic pleated or honeycomb shades. They fit nicely into the window casing and operate bottom up and top down. This will give you privacy and light management and allow you to look outside and enjoy nature around your home. As the second layer you can opt for curtains to the side - either operable or just decorative. This combination is not to heavy to take over the rooms. It is definitely a little difficult to arrange the perfect seating for the space. Although I love all the windows in the room, it brings all these wonderful natural light into the space. I would place the sofa in the center of the room and the arm chairs if you have two one of each side and either a round coffee table (If you do the coffee table I would do it with a glass top so the space looks lighter) or round ottoman. You can mount the TV on the corner wall in a movable bracket.

Here are my thoughts. The living room windows are 72” x 72”. There is only 12” each side of window to the end walls and 21” between them. I like a tailored and lightfilled look. I am considering sheer shadings with a 2 or 3” horizontal vein Mounted inside the window. There is no window trim. Decorative or functional drapes? How high to hang? Fabric? Colour?Other ideas? I look forward to your ideas.
