Are you going to actually remove the existing drywall? If so, after the drywall is removed, the electrician will install the lighting cans (housing). Then drywall. Then paint. Then the lighting trim. Installing the trim is easy, so you may be able to do it yourself. Otherwise, the electrician will have to come back. If you do it yourself, make sure the electrician doesn't charge you for the return trip. The other option is to leave the existing drywall intact and use remodel lighting cans. These can be installed with just a circle cut in the existing drywall. In that case, the electrician should be able to handle everything except for patching and painting the ceiling.

We just replaced the inadequate (and ugly) 80's recessed lighting in our kitchen and installed new recessed lighting throughout the rest of the house. I was opposed at first but now I love them. All of the lights are on a dimmer switch, which makes it so easy to adjust the light according to need. I especially like the ones directly in front of the fireplace and the entertainment wall. Of the lights you have shown, I prefer the silver, but I also wouldn't want to call attention to it. We sampled a black one (which was more expensive) and 2 different white ones. I chose the more expensive white one because it looked better than the other one - less shiny, etc. When the lights are off, I barely notice them because they blend in with our off-white ceiling.

Have the electricians separate out the material and labor. LED bulbs alone cost $25 to $50 each. So you have nearly $1000 in bulbs alone if you add the mark up and etc. My trim cost about $40 each. I am using a nice reflective trim with chrome on them. Again, you need to know what they cost each for your special situation. Depening on the difficulty of wiring, 5 switches can be many hours of wiring. My electricians charge $75 per hour. Let's say 5 hours of wiring for switches. That is another few hundred. When you say $ per light, it is all misleading. It depends on how much wiring is required and how exposed the walls are.

My first thought is how important is really? once the walls are painted and furniture goes in this might just not be as noticeable, or important. Second to that who doesn't snap a line lol. NO the only fix is replotted and patch.
