So how many C&S GWers can meet in San Diego on Saturday, May 12th
Comments (5)Penny, It lits the most recent (which is just past) or the upcoming one, I guess. The second Saturday of the month is how I arrived at the May date. I trust that hasn't changed (they say they're doing better since I left, so maybe so...)....See MoreLimited size on copy and paste?
Comments (7)Yep, tried drag and drop, no good. This isn't a "show stopper", I can always download the update again on the second computer, or use a memory stick to physically carry the patch between computers. This may be my action, I have two additional computers to update. I now see the subject update is now available on MS Update along with Framework SPs, totaling over 600 Mbytes. In any case, my interest remains on figuring out why I can't copy a large file over my home Ethernet, but I can copy smaller files, e.g., 5 MBytes...i.e., the Ethernet seems to be working....See Morecopy/paste image into Gmail?
Comments (9)I'm sorry, I'm not making myself clear. I'm wondering if I can highlight an image from a web page, copy it (right click/copy) and paste (right click/paste) an image into GMail the very same way I can do it in Thunderbird. I'm trying to avoid having to save the image to a directory and then retrieve it to post it in an email. Does that make sense? I may be asking for something that isn't supported in any way by Gmail. :) bob14, I might be misunderstanding GMail, but in my version there appears to be an alternative way to insert an image as long as I have enabled "insert image" in the labs (which I've done). According to the instructions I should be able to click on the "insert image" icon, click on "web address URL" and paste the URL of the image. The image should, then, show up in the email. That's what I'm not able to get to work correctly. Maybe the answer to my question is...no. Thank you both very much!...See MoreWhat causes this: â¨Weird symbols
Comments (15)Okaayyyyyyyyy..... Here's what I did: Clicked on the tool bar: View, scroll down to Encoding. Then I switched from Western (ISO-8859-1) to UNICODE (UTF-8). No weird symbols on THIS thread,,,,, they disappeared!! BUT..... I opened another tab & checked THIS thread and the CASSEROLE thread..... the WEIRD SYMBOLS are back & the Encoding has switched back to Western (ISO-8859-1). So it must be the default Encoding???? BTW, I checked my other browsers Safari & Chrome..... both show the WEIRD SYMBOLS. ***in wayyy over my head here****...See More- 9 years agolast modified: 9 years ago
