labeling in my sewing/craft room
Comments (9)It may dry out on top but it would still be tacky umderneath. I stuck some on the corners of a painting frame 10 years ago to keep it from going crooked. It is still tacky and easy to roll off. However I was only using a bit of the stuff. I don't know what would happen if you use a lot. I don't think it comes in funky colors. I've only seen it in blue or white. I would check into scrapbooking supplies at the dollar store to use to make your labels and bristol board to glue your design on to. There are interesting frames letters and stick on's there. Then you could use juat a bit of the ticky-tacky to hold them on to the chest....See MoreLooking for Inspiration for Craft/Sewing/Art Room
Comments (9)I'm usually over on the building a home forum and stopped by to see all the pretties. I'm so glad I did! I'm getting my very own "play room" at the new house and desperately need some inspiration. :o) I already packed up most of the current sewing room, so it looks a little bare in here. Please ignore the packing boxes stashed under the table and the chairs. Sorry! The shelves above the table are two brackets with a regular shelf on top. I put the little plastic pieces for curtain rods inside and inserted a wooden dowel. These have worked great for hanging the fabrics and trims for upcoming projects. The shelves on top make nice spaces for displaying goodies...which I have already packed. LOL Under the table there are usually clear rolling totes with 3 drawers each. I keep my things for handwork in them. They are great for taking in the other room so I can watch TV while stitching. :o) The cutting table folds and is tucked out of the way against the wall. On the opposite wall there is a bank of cabinets for keeping fabrics and trims. The framed fabric above the shelf was great for to-do lists and notes on projects....See MoreShabby Chic MY sewing/craft/guest room!?!
Comments (5)This is a bedroom I am currently doing. It is a queen bed but you could do any size. It is a work in progress. Some of the items I already had. You can find tons of pillow covers on Etsy. Some with the inserts. I like to get my own inserts. But make sure if you get them without, that you can easily find the size to fit the cover you bought. The carpet is a greyish/pink (I didn't pick it and one day it will be replaced) and the walls are soft grey. Bed is silver/grey/pewter. In my room: The eruo shams are screened floral panels I bought off etsy. Bought quilting fabric at the hobby store and some very inexpensive trim and had them sewn. You could find a pretty floral on etsy. Taget has euro sham inserts as does Ikea. The ragged quilt shams and the lumbar pillow cover I bought from etsy as well. The white coverlet is from target. https://www.target.com/p/crochet-trim-linen-blend-quilt-simply-shabby-chic-153/-/A-51587579?preselect=51569957#lnk=sametab Ikea sells an affordable white duvet cover and insert as well. The pink blanket is Target brand (Threshold) Gauze blanket. I really like the weight of this. I have them on many beds. https://www.target.com/p/gauze-bed-blanket-threshold-153/-/A-52987810?preselect=52706551#lnk=sametab The sheets are cotton/linen blend in blue from Target https://www.target.com/p/cotton-linen-blend-embroidered-hem-solid-sheet-set-simply-shabby-chic/-/A-51657620?preselect=51578615#lnk=sametab The bed skirt is a fringed burlap from Ballard Design. They make it for daybeds. I let it air out a day or two and it did require ironing on Linen setting to get wrinkles/fold out and where some fringe was going every which way. https://www.ballarddesigns.com/fringed-burlap-bedskirt/270857 I will do a collage of plates on the wall above the bed I have many that we my grandmother's and many that we my DH great Grandmothers. Ikea sells a grey striped duvet cover....See MoreSewing/Quilting/Computer Room Makeover!
Comments (19)Hi Fori--No, they do not and all 3 of my cats love sleeping on any fabric I leave on my sewing tables, especially fleece! When my hubby gets done sanding 6 layers of paint off the door to my room (he also needed to cut it down a little to fit in the doorway since it's not the door the previous owners had for the room), I will paint it with the same ultra white semi gloss paint that I used on all the trim and closet doors and he will rehang the door. Once the door is up, I can close the door and my cats will not be able to get in the room unless I'm up and in the room! The reason I purchased the kitty cots for my cats is our last house had a sliding glass door and all 3 loved laying in the sunshine coming through the door. We only have solid wood doors in this house without glass and it's perfect for them to lay in the cot, especially when the sun is shining....See MoreAnnKH
