Stromboli. I have the dough already made and in the fridge.

Meatloaf with a ketchup/brown sugar/mustard topping, mashed potatoes, and Florida corn on the cob. Cream cheese brioche for dessert.

I fixed a piece of liver (too tough to eat) so just had a mug of homemade chicken noodle soup and a glass of milk.

Everything sounds great.

Lucy, I have really been wanting corn on the cob, but its months yet until its ready in Pa. I can make the most yummy meal for myself with just fresh garden goodies.

I used to love liver and grilled onions, but for some unknown reason years ago I just lost my taste for it. I think I over thought about it lol

Eld, Sensation salad was created at a Baton Rouge restaurant back in the 60s. It's become popular at many local restaurants. There are variations on the original. It's basically equal parts olive oil and vegetable oil, fresh minced garlic, fresh squeezed lemon juice (some add vinegar) and grated Romano cheese served over Romaine. The original was served over iceberg lettuce. Some restaurants combine the two.

Using romaine, add anchovy paste or mashed filets ,S+P, make sure to have enough garlic, a dab of mayo (instead of raw egg), some add a small amount of Dijon mustard, plus croutons and you have something very close to Caesar salad.

We and our neighbors had one of our community suppers, homemade pizzas grilled on the Weber and a wonderful, crunchy salad.

The little girls next door (aka: my sprites) were set free in the grocery store by their g'pa to select salad ingredients; you'd think he would have learned his lesson by now! The older(9) girl watches the food network instead of the Disney channel, and that sometimes means Bizarre Foods, lol.

Tonight we are going out for a Chinese dinner. Egg rolls or soup with a main dish of some kind such as mu shoo pork.

Baked Chicken, Baked Potato and Salad with Lime Cilantro Dressing

I went to a birthday party for my three grandsons who turned 2, 4 and 6 with birth dates of 5/31, 6/2 and 6/4. My daughter had hot dogs and chicken tenders on the grill, home made potato salad, home made mac and cheese, tortolleni salad, veggie tray and cake. Im so full. It was fun but there were 30 children and 20+ adults. I was glad to get home.

I had two birria tacos and an ice cream cone earlier, so I believe I'll be skipping dinner tonight.

Its threads like this that give me ideas lol...I hate trying to figure out what to have. I always say I don't enjoy cooking, and I suppose to be honest I don't lol, but its the dang deciding that worse.

I made chicken Lombardy and French fries

chicken, a big onion and zucchini and squash...all grilled on my little fire pit. I had to removed them before the larger pieces were done, though. The stupid pit grill lays right in the bottom on top of the fire. stupid design. I am going to save some cans to prop it up some for next time. Even with the very charred skin it was all delicious.

Salmon sandwiches with grilled onion and tomato on Rye toast. A side of sugar snap peas and baby carrots. Cherries and mixed berries for dessert. Yum.
