If you want to open all of the features there are fees but I have never paid. I use just the free parts of it. There's several categories of pictures that you can color free, when you go to the app and open it you should see along the bottom Gallery, Weekly, showroom, my works. It will give you a free weekly and a free weekend picture that is normally a premium pay one once a week and weekend. I try to always get those because if you don't Color it then you lose the chance. Click on the gallery. There you see Basic, animal kingdom, mandala world, zen spirit, pixel art, secret garden, heart love, masterpiece, 2016 special dates, floral etc lots of categories. Each one usually has a few free ones to color and premium ones. Anything not marked premium is free.

Click on the photo you want to color. When it opens to the picture at the bottom you see some colors and a rainbow circle. Click on the rainbow circle. That opens your color options. You see solid, custom gradient. Under solid free are Essential and dynamic, and classical, all others are premium. Click on a color you want to use then touch the spot on the picture you want to color. You might have to pinch and zoom for the small areas. If you need to undo one there is a half circle arrow at the top right corner hitting it undoes the last move. If choose gradient colors you can use Vibrant. Once you pick a color there you will get an option for Central, linear and a double arrow. Choosing those changes how the gradient appears, play around with it.

Once you have finished the picture up at the top in the middle is an up arrow click it.

Now you have options to choose how your background looks for example oil painting, watercolor, prism etc or no effect. You will see icons for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, your personal picture storage and an upload button. I click on the one for my personal picture storage to have it save my picture to my phone gallery. I also click on upload to share it on their showroom. There you can see all the works of the others using the app. You will also have a your gallery area once you have done some so you can go back to them. You can change them or redo them etc.

That pretty much covers it. It will pop up some time and offer you to purchase more options. I have been very tempted because they have some beautiful colors in premium.

Let me know if you need anything else. I find it very relaxing. At times depending on how my hands are, I use a stylus. There are some tiny spots that require extreme zooming.

I don't know what I was doing wrong, but everything I clicked on last night brought up the how to pay screen. Maybe I just didn't know how to tell the difference between free and premium, and always clicked on the wrong one.

Thought I'd update on my Colorfly adventures.

I downloaded it again, and figured out how to use it! (Thanks to your tutorial!) It's apparently a little different version, as some of the things are different. It opens directly to the gallery, don't have the Weekly or Showroom, and My Works is part of the Gallery. Don't have any options for background, either, can just fill in in with color of choice. No gradient option, either. And I can't get it to save to Photos on my phone, in fact, I can't get a finished picture out of the Colorfly app. When I try 'share', it says "share drawing error". I did one today that I think is quite pretty, and wanted to email it to myself so I could print it out to save. Oh well, it's fun to use, goes fairly quick. And is relaxing.

You can always use the screen shot feature to save it. It's possible it didn't install properly. You might try uninstalling the app and re install.

Once you have the picture colored you don't have some icons along the top of the page? It should have the half circle for undo and the one with the up arrow to upload. You won't see the background options until you use that download button. That new page is where the option of saving it and sharing it to the showroom.

Here are some screen shots of what you should be seeing. Notice that top row of icons. Once you click on the big round rainbow color wheel that's when the option for solid and gradient appear.

Once hit that center arrow you see this screen. The icon is to the right of the twitter bird is the one that will save it to your phone. The next one over is the one that saves it to the showroom. Below that you see the effects options.

To do a screen shot with Android hold down the power button and the volume down button at the same time. That usually works for most Android versions.

Actually, I had thought maybe it didn't load properly, and had uninstalled then reinstalled it a couple of times before I posted that 'update' yesterday. After seeing your screenshots, I think it is just a totally different version. That's okay, I'm enjoying it, just a bit disappointed I don't have some of the choices you do.

Now I need to go back and correct the mistake I didn't see until I posted the picture here.

There's a lot of coloring apps. I tried a few different ones and stuck with this one but you may want to try a few other ones. I don't understand why they think they have to update and make it worse.

3.16.0 Adult Coloring is what the version says on mine under the apps list.

I think I'd like yours better, too! Mine says Version 2.7.0. So I'll bet yours is the upgraded version. I got it by Googling Colorfly from my phone the first time, the second time from the link you posted Friday. They were the same, I think. When I installed it the second time I'd already forgotten what the first one was like. I'm about to uninstall again, and download from the link you just posted, hope I get the same one you have! I'll let you know.

Wow! This has a LOT more stuff than what I had! It says Version 3.19.0. I haven't looked it all over yet, but first glance tells me it is much like yours. Now I'm excited to get into it more.

Thank you THANK YOU for being so patient with me and helping me get it figured out. I appreciate it more than you know. And now all I have to do is keep myself from spending wa-a-a-ay too much time coloring!

A couple of recent ones

Very nice! I especially like the dolphin, my kind of colors! I'm starting with much simpler pictures, and I REALLY like gradients!

I've also learned not to use the silk background on a picture like this, and once you hit that up arrow, there's no changing anything. But, you can do the same one more than once.

This may be more fun than using pencils and coloring books! Definitely faster.
