Dual Purpose Worm Composter and Planter

Charlie

I like the idea of multiple uses; therefore I want to make a planter that also serves as a worm composter for my garden. My idea is to create a bottomless planter as suggested by someone else and in the center to have a inner container where compost is added and to plant veggies around the outer ring of the top. I believe that the inner chamber should have holes to allow worm access to the potting soil where the plants grow. I want it to be attractive to deflect spousal criticism and of course the composting chamber would need to be covered to prevent animals from accessing the kitchen scraps. I want to be frugal, so as not to spend a bundle on it. Any suggestions on what to use?
