Help w/GLOSS Latex on Trim? Expert Needed!

Pines Everywhere

Hi folks, I am trying something new and having trouble. Doing a white hallway and white GLOSS on 1 x 3 shaker style trim. Did some research and it didn't help. My SW Gloss is appearing a bit streaky and blotchy. Here is what I have done so far:

  1. Sanded my 1 x 3 select prime boards

  2. Used a synthetic roller (3/8) and applied Latex Killz

  3. Sanded the boards again

  4. Used a fine/smooth quality brush (4 inch) with long, light and even strokes (going for the Gloss of Oil without Oil)

Half the boards are up and I am filling holes -- I am at the point where I can sand again but then what ....

? Should I sand heavily and start over using just a roller or just a brush (stick to one)

? Should I sand lightly, and apply another light coat with the brush

? Should I switch to a smooth roller on the last coat or last 2 coats

Help if you can. I've done 3 doors and have 5 more to go PLUS baseboards. I have to get this right!!!
