While drying my hair, I used to use a brush to curl it under a bit and provide volume. Lately though I've started to use my hands instead of a brush while drying and I think the "free form" style looks better, more casual.

Yes, I have. In my twenties I had the perm. Then I had a type of shag. Sometimes shorter than other times.

Now, I have the basic side wave, shoulder length. It looks simple, but I have to work on blowing that wave in!

My hair has always had a mind of its own and I'm happy about it. It's always been like that.....I never look the same every day but not by design. At present, it's fairly shortish and I blow it dry with a round brush to lift it and tame it. It has quite a bit of curl that shows up.....or not. I use a volumizing mousse, a product which has helped my hair enormously.

I wear pretty hair bands sometimes, let my bangs hang down or sweep them back. I'm happy with my hair pretty much every day.

I stopped coloring it a few years ago and my wonderful stylist has said that she'd personally smack me if I colored it again, lol.

Mine is straight and fine, so I've stuck with a pretty basic hair cut for years. Sometimes I've had a perm (80's hair) and sometimes had longer hair (60's-70's) with a part in the middle, sometimes had bangs. Now it's just a side part, chin length one-length bob. I wash it frequently because of running and sweating, and blow dry with a round brush for lift and body. A good cut helps.

Mine (as posted on the hair length thread) changes daily. Naturally curly, straightened, wavy (with the help of a straightener), ponytail, clipped up, messy bun...

That's why I won't do short hair again. It's so limiting (plus my dozens of cowlicks aren't helpful to short styles).

I use to do so when my hair was long enough to do something with it. For years it has been too short to do anything.

I have been wearing my hair in basically the same cut since the 90's. I went through the big hair stage but after that, my hair has been pretty much the same style. I do not color my hair anymore and have not for probably 10 years. I have to wear it in a style that is flattering plus it needs to be long enough to pull back in a pony tail which is how I wear it most of the time unless we are going out.

I wore braids when I was a kid, and kept my hair fairly long most of the time until my mid 30's. Now I wear it short....not real short but about shirt collar length. I am not a hair person. I don't blow dry it or color it or do anything except get it cut. I let it fall how it wants to on top and brush it back on the sides.

No I let my hairdresser play around with my color. At my visits she sometimes curls it instead of using the flat iron. But I am pretty low maintenance. I groom myself well enough to not scare anyone but I don't spend a lot of time primping. In the summer I am more like to just let it air dry and be beach hair. It tends to wave and frizz a bit on it's own. So blow out straight or let it be are my two usual styles.

Mine looks pretty much the same every day. When I was younger and my hair was longer and thicker, I did different styling depending on my mood and plans, but these days, it just works one way so I stick to that.

I've had the same straight (long, fine/thin) hairstyle my entire life. When I was a child, I probably had bangs.

Back in the 80s, maybe early 90s, I made an appointment to get a spiral perm. The first salon I went to refused to do it. My hair was too fine. I found someone who would do it. It took about 4 hours (my hair was/is about waist length). I got home about 2 hours later than usual. When I pulled into the garage and got out of the car, husband never said anything, just kind of started wandering down the garage toward the driveway. I didn't say anything, because I wasn't sure what he was thinking ... Did he hate it? Was he trying not to hurt my feelings? Was he mad?

When I started walking down the stairs and stopped to wait for him to get back in the garage so I could close the door, he just kind of stared at me with this odd expression on his face ... he didn't recognize me. He thought I stopped after work for a drink and would be pulling up in a cab behind them. (Our cab company will send along an extra driver to get your car home.)

I wish I could find that photo! LOL

And, 20+ some years later, I still have wisps of hair along the back of my hairline that never did grow back because the perm burnt the hector out of it. (As the first stylist suggested that it would.)
