I think there's a few manufactures in CA but I can't remember the names. Also, Glass Craft makes iron doors and has dealers all over. I'd check thier site to find a dealer near you. Monte Cristo is a company in Oklahoma City, OK. We're considering doors from oldeworldart.com which are actually composite doors. They're based out of Gorgia though so it might be quite a shipping charge.

So when you say design and style, what exactly are you picturing? Honestly,I am not sure that I like all the swirls and the metal might be a little heavy looking. I think this kind of door probably fits a really big house, bigger than mine. My builder said for me to look at ThermaTru doors. Anyone used those? I found one that I like 81981p, I will have double 3x8, stained in a dark brown. Anyone have this door :) When I say I found one that I like, that means the one I like today and tomorrow I will be here asking everyone for advice on several other doors. Thank you as always.

Can someone with a WROUGHT IRON ENTRY DOOR, living in Arizona, help me? We are considering purchasing one from a well known company here in Scottsdale, (FI) but can't find out how well insulated they are. The showroom has many beautiful styles, quite expensive, and I would hate to spring for an iron door and be unhappy with it - letting cold and heat in. (We have a single door, and an open pergola above the door which extends to the end of the house in the courtyard) Our home faces west, and in the summer, the sun is awful. The door we are considering has glass inside (low-e offered as an upgrade) which latches and can be opened to get air - screen in front of glass and iron design scrolls in front of screen. I wonder how energy efficient these are, even though they say they have foam insulation in the frame and the door. And, what about rain? Has anyone ever had rain come in through glass? If anyone has had experiences with an iron entry door here in AZ, I would love to hear your comments!!! Thank you so much.

We are speccing a round top entry door for our mediterranean with wood, glass and wrought iron. The local maker has quoted us $7K for a door. Seems like there are plenty of online door sellers doing doors in steel and wrought iron for $1.5K or so. Is there any recommended purveyor that does good work and isn't crazy expensive? We don't mind if it is a "stock" pattern.
