Name That Rose!

Help identifying roses

Hello =). I started gardening last summer for the first time (zone 7b, north Alabama). I have never posted in a forum, but I have been learning from all the information in garden web. Thank you very much to all of you who are always here helping people like me. I started my gardening career by buying some random unlabeled roses at lowes, and now I have no idea what they are called. Since then, I have started to buy from Heirloom, David Austin's and other places that are better at properly labeling their plants. This pink rose is my husband's favorite as it bloomed non-stop until December and never got mold. I would really appreciated if anyone could help me identify this rose.

If you don't get a good answer here, you might have better luck posting your photos to the Roses forum, which gets more traffic and is frequented by some very knowledgeable rose gardeners. This forum isn't as active.

It's very pretty, and sounds like it's very happy in your garden. I hope you can ID it.

If I didn't know that Angel Face is purple, not pink, I would say Angel Face. The bloom form and foliage look right and Angel Face blooms nonstop and smells divine. So far she is clean. Maybe someone will recognize it.

Here are a few great florist website links that have lots of pictures. Maybe you can tell what they are from some of these. SIERRA FLOWER FINDER ..... FOUR SEASONS .... CUT FLOWER WHOLESALE I think some of the most popular white roses are VENDELA and maybe BLIZZARD or AVALANCHE. The most popular red I've seen consistently at our Safeway market's florist dept is FREEDOM. There are lots of others tho. Have fun looking thru these websites. Help identifying rose, white shrub sold as Bolero, but maybe incorrect

I think your suspicions are well founded. A five year old Bolero should have hit its stride by now producing consistently, typical Bolero blooms, considerably larger blooms than seen on your mom's bush. My Boleros have larger blooms, the size of your Bolero's blooms. Now, if mom's questionable Bolero bush is not getting a full sun exposure, that may account for the blooms smaller size, and the bush may be a genuine Bolero after all. Plus, light to no spring pruning will result in more but smaller blooms. Heavy pruning in spring, and Bolero's blooms will be a good bit larger, but fewer in number. Going by fragrance comparisons is not always reliable in identifying a bush's variety. Just a slight difference in: location, soil type, fertilizer program, growing in shade or sun, watering, even time of day, etc., can result in fragrances of the same variety varying considerably. Thank you Virginia :), I will go and try my luck at the roses forum since I have a couple of those lowes roses I haven't been able to identify.

THank you suncoastflowers for you pictures and answer. Your rose does look a lot like mine. Does your rose get those darker edges that mine are showing?
