Howdeee Happy valentines Day all. My hubby sure must love me he bought me a trailer to haul behind my 4 wheeler. Its gonna be great cleaning out the barn and hauling dirl and rocks :-) Acres

Happy anniversary kswl! My Valentine's was memorable; as I sat reading the newspaper in the morning, with no plans for anything special, my husband popped in and said 'instead of running errands, it's a gorgeous day so why don't we take the boat to Islamorada and have lunch?' Now, my husband NEVER suggests random frivolous outings; his boating is always purposeful though fun--diving with park interns, canoeing to explore new trails to put into the Everglades back country tour rotation. And I rarely if ever go with him anymore, and in fact I started to say no, maybe another time. And then....I remembered my stepmother, who ALWAYS said yes to adventure, and who urged me often to make the time to have fun and enjoy life with my man. And so instead of saying no, I got up and got dressed and we went to Islamorada for lunch, and it was a lovely and special Valentine's Day. When I got home I thought about my stepmother and said a silent thank you to her for teaching me something so important. The little moments are the big moments, and now my memories of that gorgeous day, and eating our lunch looking at the sparkling sea, are a gift from her to me even though she's gone from my life forever.
