Do you ever wonder if you've got Althiemers? (sp?)
Comments (21)Aluminum cooking utensils, aluminum foil and pots and pans do not cause Alzheimer's Disease. Tami, if Alzheimer's Disease runs in your family there is most likely a genetic link. From the day my Mom was diagnosed I have read anything and everything I could get my hands on about Alzheimer's Disease (one of the reasons I got the internet) and there is nothing that links aluminum from cooking utensils as a cause. If you are worried about ingesting aluminum stop drinking water, stop taking Tylenol, stop taking antacids and stop drinking tea or even wearing antiperspirants. Here is link to a Government of Canada website in regards to aluminum and human health. In my research and book reading on Alzheimer's Disease the first comment ever made linking aluminum from cooking utensils and foil was by researcher/scientist telling a joke at a cocktail party - somebody overheard the words "aluminum foil" and "Alzheimer's" and the word was spread that aluminum pots and pans cause Alzheimer's Disease. That myth and hysteria continues to be spread but if you choose to believe it and it works for you go for it. Comments (9)Don't forget that you might not want the clear ones if you are storing items which could fade. I keep some paper items and you'd be suprised how much sunlight will even get under a bed and cause fading/drying on the edges. I keep my quilts in blue storage containers. Again, I don't want any fading. I really like the colored lids/boxes which are now available for holiday decorations. Since they are clear with green lids, I can easily tell someone to bring down the containers with the green lids, instead of having to make sure all of the sides are marked. Our long term storage here at the house doesn't have any natural sunlight, so fading isn't a concern. We have a good sized amount of storage away from the house for dh's client files. Rather than try and do something with an alpha system, he just set up a spreadsheet listing what was in each box, then printed off a copy for the side of the box. Now, rather than trying to read all of those lists, he just pulls up the client name and knows that he has to go find box #14. As he creates new boxes, he just continues the system. It's working well so far. Gloria...See MoreIMO, if you're older than 8, you've outgrown the use of the word yummy

Comments (14)@Joey Taylor I was curious about your issue, so I called to inquire with WeShipFloors about your issue. The sales associate stated that they sent an inspector out to your location and that the inspection report conclusion was your floor was out of flat (as much as 1/2".) The install sheet for Supercore states 3/16" over a 10' spread, which is also what most floating floors require. Seems to be somewhat of an industry standard. I was so concerned since I had installed Supercore over 3 years ago and was fearing if I would have the same issues arise. So far, no issues and seems to very durable against scratching too. If you choose to do a different floor, what would you go with? I love my Supercore, but love to learn more about other brands too....See Morebossyvossy
