Comments (1)I've never had it done, but I would recommend you do a trial run well ahead of time. I believe there a multiple brands they use with the air brush, not just one. I had my hair and makeup done before one of my fittings. I have a lot of allergies (and asthma) and I wanted to make sure nothing the makeup artist used would bother me. She made a list of everything used and that is what she used on my wedding day. One thing I would do is a few fake lashes. Just a few (3 clumps of 2-3 on each eye) on the outer edge. It opens and widens the eye. Of course if you have spectacular lashes this doesn't apply to you....See MoreMake-up tips for the perimenopausal
Comments (14)Mid 50's. I found that once I hit 'that' age, less is definately more. I shaved it down to mascara, a little blush on cheeks and light lip balm color for 10+ years. Just those three things made all the difference in the world. Powder or cream foundation just sank into lines I didn't even know I had until the creasing effect was all anyone could see. I've since found a couple of powder Clinque foundations that are nice and seem to not have that make you more ugly effect. Just a light dusting to even the skin tone a little bit. But it's hard to really say, because the eyesight goes downhill at around same age, ha! Estee Lauder DoubleWear is very nice, but only a dot applied to back of wrist then smoshed into a foundation brush (flat head), then mashy-style applied to face. Takes a few tries to get the technique right. Don't try to get to full coverage. It only backfires and you look horrid. Also, moisturizer before applying is a must even if she has oily T-zone. Some people swear by a primer and if a make up artist applies it on me, it's magic. If *I* apply it on me, terrible, and wash face to start over. We are all different, but I ended up liking Cerave and Cetaphil moisturizers (in the jars) the most! I have used the top shelf stuff and every thing in between. I seem to like those two best. I also like Eucerin in the jar (!!)--very basic but lovely, but it doesn't like me back sometimes too much. It can to make my eyes water :( Hope that offers some help. Comments (27)If you don't want to go and buy remover, you can always use an oil such as olive oil or coconut oil, baby oil, mineral oil, any sort of oil from the kitchen should work. For me though, I don't really like the way oil feels if it gets into my eyes with the seeing blurry for a while. My one sister has always used baby oil to remover her waterproof mascara and it doesn't seem to bother her at all....See MoreFunkyart
