I've been using the Basic Minerals foundation and it is applied with a brush. Mine came with a large round brush that also shed on my face a bit. I just bought one of their brushes that is flat with a rounded tip, about an inch wide, and bright orange colored bristles. It gives much more coverage, like painting the powders on my face. So far, it hasn't shed at all. I now use the round brush to lightly blend the foundation and blush so it doesn't shed as much as when I was using it to burnish the foundation for coverage. The new brush was under $20 - around $18 as I recall.

I've never had it done, but I would recommend you do a trial run well ahead of time. I believe there a multiple brands they use with the air brush, not just one. I had my hair and makeup done before one of my fittings. I have a lot of allergies (and asthma) and I wanted to make sure nothing the makeup artist used would bother me. She made a list of everything used and that is what she used on my wedding day. One thing I would do is a few fake lashes. Just a few (3 clumps of 2-3 on each eye) on the outer edge. It opens and widens the eye. Of course if you have spectacular lashes this doesn't apply to you.

We didn't intend to get matching brands for the sink and faucet but both ended up being Kohler. My sink is the Kohler Strive. It's perfect for me because I'm used to a double bowl but love how singles can fit such large items in them. The Strive has a low divide so it's like getting both a double and single sink. It's a SS sink which is the only material I've ever had for kitchen sinks. I really wanted to get a Blanco Silgranit sink but the super low depth worried me. The faucet we chose is the Kohler Artifact. We originally wanted a commercial style pre-rinse style faucet but wanted one with a pull down head. Couldn't find any quality ones in our price range (less than $1000) so we started looking at pull down style faucets. The Artifacts is beautiful and has awesome functions (three different spray options, magnetic docking). I can't wait to get both installed and start using them!!

I keep all my makeup in a caddy in the master bathroom but carry it, with a magnification mirror, to a bedroom window that gets natural light. That way I don't wind up with a clown face when I go outdoors! (The master bath doesn't have a window, and I didn't want to get one of those makeup mirrors that change to natural light since I have a wall of bedroom windows with all the natural light I want.) It's an excellent system.
