Do you have a trusted site for ordering Kohler products
Comments (13)Well sanjuangirl, I am in a quandry over a kitchen sink. I was all set to get the 36" Whitehaven in White until we went to a showroom and the gal showed me the "Sea Salt" finish. I much prefer the Sea Salt finish, It is still white, but has a softer sort of sea salt looking finish that seems a little more vintage to me. They also had the Shaw 36" sink on display which I love as well. Here is my problem. I have found the Shaw sink on line for $1108 total. The Whitehaven in Sea Salt is more than what I can get the Shaw for online. So which do I get? I like the bigger apron on the Shaw better. It fits the look of my farmhouse. The Whtehaven seems not quite as vintage looking. It is a little more sleek. I do not know why I am having such a hard time with this decision. I think it is because I like both. I saw the Cane Sugar too. If I remember correctly, it is more of a tan color, isn't it?...See MoreFeedback on Kohler Karbon faucet
Comments (23)Has anyone recently called Kohler about the flow issue. We just installed the Karbon faucet and as expected the flow was much lower than I was used to. I called Kohler and asked for the higher flow valve. The only option the service rep offered was to buy a high flow head for $82 (she did offer 25% off). I have already taken the head apart, so I suspect I just need the plastic restrictor. I expected to need to get the high flow restrictor from Kohler when we decided on this faucet, but in all the threads I have never seen anyone mention paying for an $82 part. Most people are so happy with Kohler service for sending them the part complimentary. Did I just get a bad draw on the service rep lottery? Is there a secret password I should mention that gets me the part we need, or do I just need to ask pretty please and they send it free. Anyone who got the upgrade have any ideas?...See MoreKohler Whitehaven Flush Reveal
Comments (9)The Cook's Kitchen is correct and said it quite well, Kohler specifies a slight positive reveal. Having said that, you don't have a negative reveal from what I can see, and it's as flush as it probably can ever get. You'll need to be vigilant with keeping the area between the sink and the countertop clean (muck most likely will get trapped there if you don't clean it regularly). Other than that, and though I like a slight positive reveal for this style sink (also getting Kohler Whitehaven's), if you want that flush reveal, you've got it, and I think it's totally fine. I have seen 'as flush as flush can be' with Whitehaven's before here on GW/Houzz, for what it's worth : )...See More31in top mount sink in a 30in base?
Comments (4)So, I was off a bit in my initial assessment, but I think it can still fit into a 30" base cabinet with 1/2" plywood walls. Here is a screenshot of the front view DWG file (5832frt.dwg) of this 31" sink. I added a countertop line for a 1.5" counter in yellow. This sink itself is the white wireframe in the image. Dimensions in red indicate the overall width (31") of this top mount sink. The dimension in green indicates the width of the basin at the top of the counter, 28.5." The dimensions in cyan indicate the width of the basin at the bottom of the countertop (top of the cabinet) as 27.5." Thoughts? A 29in hole wouldn't have a lot of tolerance, but it would fully rest on the plywood sides of the base cabinet....See MoreJoseph Corlett, LLC
