I just fell in love with 1D.

The option 1 , in all letters options , show clearly a very non uniform or calibrated square shape and to minimize the '' undulated '' effect , some wide joints must be used . You have to decide if overall you will have the desired look .

The option 2) ,in both letters , look at the procedures and maintenance needed .

Eurocerob, can you say more about what "wide joints" means? I am completely unfamiliar with construction & tiling terminology. Also, what specifically do you think we would need to understand about what we would get as a finished floor, including floor prep? Our tiler is doing a cement tile floor right now in our first bathroom & says he will have no problem with it. Is there something in particular I should be concerned about with any of these options? If you can provide more details that would be helpful. Thanks!

Wide joints could exceed 1/4 of an inch if the lines are to '' appear '' as straight as possible . Put together , as a dry lay out , a square of 48 x 48 with the 4'' x 4'' wall tiles , to have a feel of how variances in the spaces in between tiles -- joints -- will affect the final layout , which will serve as a guide for the final transfer to the intended area.

The cement tiles , used for the floor , should be treated as soft marble and the floor should meet a requirement of l/720 , which your tiler should be aware of . I will not type all of the other recommendations for cement tiles , but the procedures are found here -- see link -- and your tiler should be aware of them , before proceeding with their installation .

I think 3 is positively stunning. I am a fan of traditional tile laid traditionally, which displays the pattern as designed. This one would make me joyful every morning when I walked it.

I like them all, but Option 3 is the stunner! Love it

Thanks, everyone. Still trying to decide!!! Our tiler said he could work with any of the tiles, so that didn't help eliminate any options.

Well, it turns out my husband doesn't like options 2 or 3. So now I have to narrow it down to one of the variations of option 1. Suggestions? Someone above had suggested a more random pattern. Any advice on how to do that, or is that something the tiler would have to figure out?

I love the patchwork but if it's from option 1, I'd vote for 1d because it has just the right amount of gray in the pattern tiles vs. adding more gray.

I like 1a. More of a tan. Pretty. I can't see your link, but I'm guessing it's packaged with so many plain and so many decorative tiles. The tiler could change the pattern, but it would cost more $.

I vote for 1b, but I always opt for color over neutral. :) I think the aqua color connects the detail in the decorative pieces beautifully. Lovely choices, by the way. Each works in its own way, but for me, 1b is the most harmonious.
