What's for dinner Tuesday?
Comments (9)What have I been doing today. Well, at 8:00 I had a dentist appointment, at 9:00 I had a Vet appointment to get Georgy up on all her shots so she can go to doggy camp tomorrow, at 10:00 I had to go to the library and pick up some books I had on hold, then I went to the indoor outlet mall, then the outdoor outlet mall, Walmart's, Kmart, and the second library to pick up another book, Kohl's, Target, Belk's and then because Georgy was such a sport about it, PetSmart so she could browse and smell everything in sight. At 1:00 I had an appointment for a haircut, got some gas stopped at a friends house to drop off a book and then I returned home at 2:30. I sat down and rested for a while, Just finished vacuuming the car and loading up my clubs and suitcases. For dinner, there's not enough clam chowder (I think DH had some for lunch) so we will have some pizza. I am not messing up my kitchen. Then, I will tidy up our bathroom, vacuum upstairs and go to bed. I always say I never feel like I need a vacation until I get ready to go on one. It's all that running around tying up loose ends that does it. Now I need one!...See MoreWhat Have You Been Doing Today?
Comments (18)I'm pooped right now and happy to be crusing the web. Took a 60 mile round trip to get some flooring for the bathroom this morning. About noon took dd out to ground work with her horse. She's been working him in the small pen and doing well. TODAY THO, he seemed to be doing well again, so we put on the saddle, lunged him in a few circles. DH said he would ride him first. OMG, the horse jumped up and down, all four feet off the ground about ten different times, his back curled up like a 'C'. Thank goodness dh isn't afraid(LIKE I WAS WHILE WATCHING)and had the horse walking around shortly after. I've been in extreme adrenaline mode ever since. Worked very well while I cleaned the entire garden/horse shed. Cleaned some of the house and did some laundry, including the big stuff from the labradors big bed. Youngest dd helped me a good deal today, I'm thankful. While the oldest called and said she ran the mile at her track meet in 6 mins and 35 seconds. Thats super good for her, she's more of a cross country runner at heart. Waiting now for her to come home and finish her homework so she can go to an "Amazing Race" meet at our local college Sunday. I wish it wasn't so windy, Dh cleaned the grill, put on a new propane tank. Steaks sound good. (That horse better watch out from now on....hehehhe) Time to take a shower, I think I have sand all over my head from when the horse was bucking, tossing sand every where....See MoreWhat's for dinner Thursday?
Comments (14)Sue, as much as I hate decorating, it does sound like fun. I haven't had old fashioned loaf in such a long time. Can't eat much lunch meat stuff these days with Harry's problems. Sounds great, though! OK, Glenda--I give up! What's a camel rider's sandwich??? Here's the recipe for the popover pizza I made: Popover Pizza (Becky@MiMi's) 1 lb. ground beef (I used about 1-1/2 lbs.) 1 large onion, chopped 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.) 1-1/2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning Sliced mushrooms (I omitted) 1/2 c. water 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced (I used shredded) 2 eggs 1 c. milk 1 c. flour, sifted 1 Tbsp. oil 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese Preheat oven to 400. Grease a 13x9" pan. Brown meat and onion in a large skillet. Drain fat. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning and water. Add mushrooms and simmer 10 minutes. Combine eggs, milk, oil, flour and salt. Pour meat mixture into prepared baking pan. Top with mozzarella. Pour egg mixture over all. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over egg mixture. Bake for 30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Let me know if yours is different, okay? Georgysmom, did you mean pretzel rolls, or is bretzel something different? Are they hard to make. Wine and dine sounds so fun--and I'm glad you had some leftover! Jasdip, girl, you are going to be aching tomorrow! That was a ton of work. I imagine it looks really pretty in your yard now. Get some rest now. Pam, I know what you mean--I'd just love to have half the great restaurants Glenda has around her place. You got a lot accomplished today--and put me to shame. Schoolhouse, enjoy your Daughter's Dinner. Sounds like great fun!...See MoreWhat's for dinner Monday?
Comments (9)Joan, we just call it tuna casserole, but I like hot dish better! I get hungry for it every once in a while myself and will eat it until it's gone ;-) Yummy stuff! Ah, Raven, the price we pay for having fun! I know exactly what you mean. At least you have the laundry taken care of. Your trip sounded way worth anything my house could look like when I got home. And your dinner sounds darned good, too! Glenda, glad to hear DS is home. Geez, do they keep you in the hospital overnight for anything any more? Hope the surgery fixes whatever it was needed fixing! Another good restaurant in B'ham. You sure can find them. Your lunch sounds terrific! Shirley, I'm so glad I'm not the only one playing hookie from housework today :-) I need to get some cabbage as I have a lot of ham in the freezer and love that combo!...See Moreravencajun Zone 8b TX
