It's a beautiful day here in SE Wisconsin, I'm outside working in the garden. Just cut some greens for a salad and put the cover on for upcoming cold nights. Looking forward to getting on the tractor soon and mowing the grass. It will be burgers and fries for dinner tonight.

My job for the day is bathing dogs. Mopping the kitchen and washing clothes. Yes, I am keeping busy. My horses were out this morning...still on my property but not where they were supposed to be. I fed them and put them in another pasture. Fifteen minutes later, the mule was out. She is very crafty and watches everything for a chance to get out and takes the rest of them with her. So first on the agenda was fixing a fence. Now I have to fix the fence where they got out of the barn lot...where I left them last night.

We have been repiping our house this past week since we had another leak in the walls the week before. The house is repiped, holes patched, and now the painter is here. Tomorrow the carpet will be repaired, cleaned and relaid. Hope the stains will come out. We have put off repiping for years, and it was past time to just get it done. I will have 12 for Thanksgiving this year, 10 spending the night, and I am so glad this leak happened with enough time to repair everything. I have been cleaning and cleaning. After today, I can put things back in the cupboards and clean everything again. Today and yesterday I will be washing all the crystal and such that were removed for the repiping, and will clean and replace cupboard contents. Next, I want to wash the sheers on the living room and dining room windows. They were sewn with cotton thread that breaks when I wash the polyester lace sheers, and then I have to set to sewing pleats and hems into them again.

Just ate a chicken salad sandwich a co-worker said smelled good. I loved that it was a thrifty use of leftover chicken. What else? I just got my calendar and I am writing next year's activities on it. I've been on the "phone" all day with my son who asking questions about the stock market, that'll probably continue some more. Last, I am about to have a bite of Dove dark chocolate.

My dh has been on the phone a lot today. I've had to be quiet. I'm mainly working on my genealogy and writing biographies of loved ones. Trying to figure out how to delicately say that an older 'country' relative always surprised people because she openly dipped snuff. Lol!

Supper is already planned. Baked potatoes and a salad. Haircuts for the boys after school.

My stomach has been a bit of a mess today. I thought I was OK going to bed last night, and purposefully turned off the tv around 11:30 so I could settle.

I feel a bit spent.

But, I put together a pork roast with fennel and shallots for dinner, am walking the dogs and dealing with our bathroom redo, which is also giving me agita.

Went out for a wonderful lunch with my neighbors it's a great day !

Pizza is supper with leftover homemade soup from last night .

Went to the health food store to pick up our order. Now poorer, but hopefully the vitamins will continue to keep us healthy.

I took my latest Warm Showers cycling guest to the train station (near down town) this morning. Then, I walked to the court house, to apply for homestead exemption. Now, I just finished with my floors. All moped with wood floor cleaner, and applied glossy finish coat. Waiting for the last part to dry, then I will put all the furniture back where I want it, and collapse. At present I am taking a break, while waiting for the floor to finish drying.

Went for a wonderful 1.5 mile walk on the bridge this morning. Stopped at the market to pick up steak for fajita dinner and came home to mop floors. Spoke with a friend to make plans to go out for dinner on Saturday. I also spent time on FB and reading my e-mails. Today has been mainly a relax/easy chair day.

I bought paint and re-painted my sink cabinet and then looked at the back door and decided to re-painted that too. Same "Touch of Creme" color each. Remarkable what a coat of fresh paint can do.

Brought home some paint sample strips for the kitchen and pantry ceilings. Currently they are a sky blue, a pretty color but I've always thought it could stand to be a bit of a darker shade of blue. So difficult to choose a new one as it took me forever to settle on the sky blue shade. However, I will pay someone else to paint the ceilings.

I paid bills this am, took my granddaughter to the dr. for a strep test (quick test negative), went shopping for a few christmas gifts then stopped for a gyro for my lunch/dinner. Now playing on the computer and will probably do some reading later.

I walked a lot today, went to yoga, volunteered at the bookstore, went to Trader Joes. I'm making spiralized zucchini-spaghetti for dinner. If feel sad.

Washing clothes. Got up too early this morning after staying up late keeping tabs on the election results. Went to bed when it was obvious who was going to win. Got up for an early doctor's appointment. My foot/ankle/leg has been killing me for 8 days now. Went hiking at Natural Bridge last week. The lift that takes you up on the mountain was closed for the season, so we walked 3 miles up the mountain and came down the shorter route, 1.25, which was straight down. I twisted my ankle a couple times. Lot of hard rock/rock stairway going down. I'm short so it was really scary trying to jump down those huge steps. Slid down most of them on my butt because I was afraid of breaking something. But did jump down some of them and my ankle kind of gave out a couple times and twisted. Nothing broken, but the doctor thinks I tore a ligament. MRI next week and possible surgery depending on how bad it is. They gave me an ankle brace. No light duty, thank goodness, we are already short at work and about to get shorter! Came home and couldn't stay awake, took a three hour or so nap. Sipping decaf coffee and eating the last of the banana nut muffins I made Sunday.

I applied to go back to college today. My current degree won't qualify me for the careers that I am interested in. I have dreamed of taking more classes for a long time. I also drove my 3 hour daily commute, that's round trip, and had someone come over to do some repairs. I need some decaf coffee or some tea :)

Kath, I am sorry you may have to have surgery! Please try to get some rest for that ankle. Satine, Alyssa, my five year old granddaughter had to go to the doctor this week and she does have strep. She maybe able to go to school today or tomorrow. She was better yesterday.
