I am fixing my big breakfast, bacon, with some diced potatoes, eggs and cheese on top plus hot tea to drink. At some point today I shall run around town with Cheryl and we shall also go to the bank. I must get out money for my children's Christmas gifts and have those ready. It is below zero here today. I still have not taken time to hook up the indoor outdoor thermometer. I need to do that. I have some laundry to do and there is always some food I could fix for the upcoming Christmas meal. Of course there are the meals to fix and carry upstairs to my husband that I do each day. Never a slow moment around here.

Im just being lazy this morning. I am meeting a friend this morning and we'll do some shopping and probably have lunch. I'll pick up my oldest grand daughter late this afternoon and she'll help me do some jobs which are too tough to do alone. Have a good day.

It is way up to a balmy 12º this morning, after yesterday's -29º. I will be doing some more baking, and getting out the last of my cards.

I'm doing laundry, sewing some last minute gifts and baking. It's 0º here this morning and other than taking the dog out to potty every hour (she loves cold weather) I won't be going outside at all.

Yesterday, it was mid-80s. About 5:00 p.m. the A/C came on; however the air was not cold - not hot - just air. This morning I called the repair folks. Now I gotta wait around for the service tech. I hope he gets here early, it never got below 74 in the house overnight and we are supposed to be back into the mid-80s today.

I'm just getting ready to get dressed. I have some grocery shopping to do, then I'm going to lunch/gift exchange at a friend's. When I get back home, I'm going to make a butternut squash casserole to freeze for Christmas dinner. Trying to get as much done ahead of time so I don't have to spend all of Christmas day in the kitchen.

We live in the same area, Lucille, and I am just glad the wind has quit blowing and the sun is out. I don't like cold weather, but this is better than yesterday when it was so over cast and windy. I didn't get home in time yesterday to take in my plants. I had to go pick up a load of dog food, so I hoped it wouldn't actually get below freezing here, and it didn't. I've been out and everything looks fine. A couple of weeks ago, I made a master list of everything I want to do and accomplish in 2017. Sort of a New Year's Resolution, but I am going to really work on my list this year. It includes everything from read more to paint the house. It's a very long list....and I started it on the 10th. First on the list was to clean out my kitchen cupboards and re-organize everything, and I have finished that. I am moving into the pantry today. I just do a couple of shelves a day because I have other things I have to do every day and it is easier to eat an elephant one bite at a time. I also have an outside project and working on that every day. Even yesterday when I was so cold....I had on two pairs of pants, three shirts and a jacket and hat. I couldn't find my gloves. Plus, the usual laundry, taking care of animals and everything else. I also want to make some kind of soup. Maybe gumbo. I love soup and could eat it every day, if it is home made.

Someone gave me a lot of lemons, so going to make lemon bars. I have had a couple of "kitchen disasters". A few days ago, I guess I didn't put the cap on the bleach really tight and my husband went in the kitchen and found that a big bottle of bleach had spilled onto the floor. I think one of the dogs knocked it over. The fumes were so bad. I have a lot of white towels and I threw them down over the bleach and mopped it up as best I could. The next day the fumes had died down and I was able to finish the clean up. Then yesterday I bought a dozen eggs, put them on the island...came back a few minutes later and they were broken and all over the floor. One of the big dogs had probably stood up and knocked them off. What a mess. I couldn't get them to help clean up the eggs....probably could still smell bleach fumes. So got them cleaned up....and bought another dozen eggs. So everything is normal around here....one step forward, two steps backwards.

We had a big party last night so today I will finish cleaning up. I washed most of the dishes last night, but I need to put them away and vacuum. Then, I might run out and do a few errands. It's cold here, but the sun is shining.

Just finished doing my hand exercises, had carpel tunnel and two trigger finger surgeries two weeks ago, the off to deliver a birthday gift to son in law. While out we may just ride around just because it's so beautiful out.

I'm grouting a backsplash, setting a 2nd backslash, 1 more coat of paint on a medicine cabinet. Baked pecan bars, exactly like a pie only double the size. Laundry, Got out the ladder & watered house plants up high on ledges. Need to shop: 20amp breaker, floating shelf....

It's about 20 right now, high only supposed to get up to 30 today. Washing clothes today, then later this evening going to Southern Lights, Christmas light festival in Lexington. Drive through the lights and then walk around the horse park. Dreading that park, have a sprained ankle and it's hurting today from being up on it all day baking cookies yesterday. Maybe I can find a place to sit down and let the kids walk around by themselves.

I have an appointment in town. After that, I am going to decorate the plot that contains the cremains of my parents and my brother for Christmas. I do that for every holiday plus their birthdays. When my sister is visiting, we do it together. Then I am going to run a few errands.

My favorite shop is a sort of conglomeration of thrift store meets variety store meets jewelry store. It sells all sorts of vintage jewelry and parts that I re-purpose in my jewelry designs. The gentleman who owns the store is moving to Oregon at the end of the year, so one last visit to see what kind of treasures I can find.

If I have time when I get home, going to go through my closet and start thinking about what to pack for our cruise.

Our temperature has risen about 20F from the last week, it's in the upper 40's right now. I'm working on some last minute cards, and doing some housework today. When I get back that is, right now I'm running to the bank for some money to pay our plumber. He's at my SILs draining and replacing their hot water tank that was beginning to leak a little as they were leaving for the holidays. I'll go and pay him, make sure everything is locked up, footprints cleaned up ;0)

And, I have one package to mail to my sis, but its taped and labeled, ready to go. Now if I just don't find a long line at the PO....

Doing some extras today along with normal day to day house work. Vacumed off the tops of the kitchen cubbords., vacumed living room and dining room drapes, and washed and ironed kitchen window valance. On top of this I have 2 sets of beds sheets and duvet covers to wash and iron, well they are washed and dried I just have to iron them and remake the beds. Than dinner which will be soup and a sandwhich...hubs will do after dinner clean up while I get everything ready for boys for school tomorrow and chase them to the showers.

No rest for the weary. Lol.

I had a cold for a week so there is much to catch up on but first I will drink lots of coffee and start my pepper and tomato seeds in trays that will live under lights in the laundry room for the next 8-10 weeks.

I have work today and am recovering from 4 days of singing. We had our choral performances on Thursday and Friday evening, then 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday. Our voices are about worn out and we're pretty exhausted. Plus DH came down with a virus, so he actually missed Wednesday's rehearsal and the Thursday and Friday performances. Bummer for him having to miss since we rehearse starting in September and you put all that work into it. He's one of the main first tenors so he was missed.

I should explain - we sing in a Living Christmas Tree, which is a really big deal here with over 120 voices, full orchestra, and guest performers. It draws huge crowds, nearly filling the church most performances. Now I'm a bit behind in my Christmas prep but will hopefully catch up this week. Always do.

I went to the gym this morning, came home and picked up my daughters and headed to physical therapy. Dropped daughter off and went to the bank, got gas, Walgreens, and then went back to PT. Ran to the mall so dd could try on a pair of Birkenstocks for her Christmas present. Just got home and need to do the dishes and make some vegetable soup for supper.

I have some windows open and some laundry hanging on the clothsline.

Mostly I am being lazy.

We have had ice in the birdbath the last two days and my volunteer tomato seedlings look sad.

Time to go bring in the throw rugs and close the windows.

We went out for lunch and took the kids to see Star Wars Rogue One during the matinee. Did a little shopping while we were killing time and now back home. I threw together a casserole for supper and it is in the oven. I now have two more presents to wrap. I think the rest of the presents are done.
