Where do I hang bath towels
Comments (15)Shanghaimom and Christine- If my setup was like yours, I would definitely put the towel rack on the back of the door, but the back of the door of the toilet room seems out of the way and I don't think I want to hang a towel rack on the front of the toilet room door, although it is always open. Babka, what a good idea of hanging a "dummy" towel hook on the right with a towel. I have one more idea I might try before I order another towel hook. I might be able to cushion the bottom hook that holds the towel with foam on the end of the hook and tie it in place. The towel would always cover the foam! I just don't know how the foam will hold up or if it will fall off. It would probably hold the towel better. HaHa Maybe I should have bought one of those train rack shelves and put deep bath towels on top?...See MoreWhat do you do with your wet towels and bathing suits?
Comments (24)reno fan: I LOVED your idea of two colour coded towels per family member so much that I just went to Target and bought eight of their 5ft striped beach towels in four different colours (on sale $4 each). It is a great way to teach the kids (and DH) to be responsible for their own towel! padrefan: your photo is priceless!! tinamccullagh: I here you. I'm from Canada and my mom always hung all our laundry out dry (even when it was minus 25C). I'm not sure why North Americans have gotten away from that in recent years...I guess because it is just too easy to throw the wet laundry into the dryer. I too plan to buy one of those revolving clothes lines to tuck away out of site....See MoreDish cloths & towels - what do you do with them?
Comments (46)Oh he's so cute! He'll be a great towel critter. Congrats on the new countertop, post pics when it's all in! I probably should have picked a different animal so I didn't copy robin d's towel pig idea. But he just spoke to me because I have had a thing about pigs my whole life and collect them. I don't have them all out, don't like the clutter. But a few of my favorite ones grace bookshelves and mantles and tv consoles throughout the house. Towel pig just fit in so perfectly! But if I found a Towel Robin, I'd snatch it up in a heartbeat!...See MoreWhere and how do you hang your cloth dishtowels?
Comments (21)I use the freezer door handle and sometimes the warming drawer handle...the oven is "off limits" b/c my front door view is the ovens! Here are some towel threads...including the famous "towel pig"! What to do with the Dish Towel?!?! OT. Kitchen-towel-hanging-on-the-oven-door-survey...
