Help for small powder room
Comments (10)I like number 2, but maybe 1 could work with a small wall sink, like one I found at Wayfair. Small sink. It is under 10 inches from front to back. You’d want the toilet center about 16 to 17 inches from the duct wall. If you don’t need a coat closet, you could use that space. Can you add a coat closet to the left of the front door? I wonder if you could add a smaller coat closer where the toilet is now, accessed from the family room. That would give you a nice sized powder room. if you can do an out swing door or pocket door, maybe you could switch the sink and toilet. Or you could do a wall hung toilet or a shorter toilet. (Toto drake round bowl) where the sink is now (as long as the door clears the toilet) The only other solution would be if it was possible is to steal 12 inches from your garage. You need a minimum of 24 inches in front of the toilet, but 27 is better and 30 inches is best....See MoreSmall bathroom/powder room design help!
Comments (3)The vanity IMO would the 1st thing to go and keep the rest of the finishes simple. So I have no idea how big the space is but if it is a PR why have the shower at all so maybe a bit more info would help. I like floor and shower walls all the same to make spaces feel bigger and I really do not like subway tile in showers since the more grout the more work to keep clean ....See MoreToilet help for small powder room
Comments (9)We bought the American Standard. Unfortunately, we haven't had it very long, so I can't tell you how well it holds up long-term. I can tell you that in our previous house we had a small powder room before a remodel and the smaller size toilet that we had to have in there failed (was replaced) twice within about seven years, so there might just be a design difficulty with smaller toilets that causes them to not be as reliable. We had a Kohler and an AS in there. Toto is a premium brand, so I understand why you're interested in it. 24" as the previous poster indicates for clearance is a minimum and sounds too small for me. Put a chair in the room and try sitting and standing from it when it's placed 24" from the far wall and see how it feels to you....See Moresmall powder room lighting / mirror help pls
Comments (2)The light fixture and wallpaper are beautiful & compliment each other and I think you can combine polished nickle and chrome. The only thing I notice is that a longer mirror might be nice - one that comes down lower to your faucet. I realize that is a medicine cabinet tho. After the wallpaper goes up, you could take another look at it - or perhaps a plain tile backsplash to close that gap? Good luck!...See Morecran
