Washing Down Comforters/Pillows in a Maytag Bravos washer
Comments (12)* Also, doesnt the Bravos have a soak cycle on it? Yes, it does. You can choose how long you want it to last, according to soil level. And you can let it continue until it's through, or you can Pause the washer and let laundry soak longer. * I thought in the owners manual it said it does, but it will drain and stop after the soak cycle runs. Yes, it does, when the Soak cycle finishes. * I actually wash my work jeans and T shirts on sanitary cycle in my HE3T with soak cycle. The Bravos 850 also has a sanitary cycle. * How hot does the sanitary cycle her in yours, anyone know? I've never taken its temp, but it gets REALLY hot. I think the manual tells how hot it gets. * Its nice of you to remember me Mara, Im not on here much anymore, been working a pile of mandatory overtime all summer long :( but now I can pay cash for the new set when decide on what to get. Me too, gates -- working longer hours. Glad to know you're getting overtime! The increased pay sure does help. It is SO NICE to be able to pay cash for appliances and other big purchases. * One more question..what exactly is the "deep rinse"? DOes it fill more than the wash cycle or just not the spray rinse that is on the bravos. I rarely use the spray rinse, simply because I must use the deep rinse in order to use fabric softener or vinegar (or both). I'm assuming it does use more water than the spray rinse. My dd has used the spray rinse when she's washed her clothes (usually on the Quick Wash, when she's in a hurry for a particular outfit). Her clothes came out fine. I hope this helps! And I hope you get a break from so many hours soon -- after you've paid cash for the new set, of course. ;)...See MoreJust Got a New Maytag Bravos XL Washer
Comments (54)What does it have anything to do with who we vote for? Times change everything anyway. Look back 10 years then 20 years, it all changes no matter what, who or when. Voting has nothing to do with the washer problem. Oh, maybe you voted Maytag or Mickey Mouse. Water restrictions were going to happen one day along with all the other restrictions we have on our environment due to lack of education on preserving what we have left. We all just have to do our part where we can. All of the water that is used in my house is cleaned and reused in my yard instead of me having to water my aerobic system does it for me. I compost what I can and do my recycling when I can, and since my home is 1925 its not exactly "energy efficient" but when I upgrade I make sure to upgrade to "energy efficient" if compatible. Now we just need to get Maytag to answer all of our questions, but then again why would they? It just helps them to not answer, most people will just go buy another washer instead. They know that everything is made to be thrown away by the consumer. We have all gotten too lazy to repair what we have the manufactures have us under their thumbs. Make a product expensive enough to ride the fence on repairing the problem, at that point we give up and buy something new. I think we all need to get mad at the manufactures and hold them accountable. Lets take out all of this madness from 2020 out on them instead of everyone else. Who is with me?? #BoycottMaytagBecauseTheyAreFullOfShit, #MaytagBrovosXLWasherIsAPainInTheAssToLearn, #WhatMaytagIsMadeInTheUSA-Really?, #MaytagBrovosXLWasher-Sucks....Water, #PoundingLaundryOnRocksAtRiverWouldWorkBetterThanThisMaytag (Not real hashtags, I was only being funny about the boycott. Not trying to start a war of the washers. Please people put the rocks back in the river after you finish your wash, you know what the bible says about throwing stones.)...See MoreWhat is the craziest thing you have washed in a dishwasher or washer?
Comments (40)Sorry a1an, I bow my head in shame. Really I am sorry that you had a flood, that is never fun. But the real question is how were the racks. LOL. ci_lantro love the idea of washing potatoes in the DW. I never have to make enough potatoes to try that, but am tempted to try. doreycrouse sorry you had such a mess. I will take your experience as a warning and be careful what I wash together. Errant_gw what kind of vacuum filters? Do you mean the sponge things or the plastic containers? sandy1616 washing footwear is a great idea, especially size 14. Thanks all I'm currently in special cleaning mode as a bathroom sink has had a nasty slow leak that wasn't discovered till I smelled mildew. So as the old vanity was ripped apart and strange plumbing issues are being sorted I am on full sanitizing mode. I plan on washing some of the pipes in the DW as they sit there and wait to be reattached, also the soap dish, decorative vase etc.. I will make another posting soon asking for assistance in grout cleaning. I know not laundry but related as I might try Oxi....See MoreAny way to reduce wrinkles caused by LG "True Balance & Steam" washer?
Comments (23)LG WASHING MACHINE - top loading LG Inverter, Direct Drive. Also with Steam Cycle. This is my experience. Mine is an expensive piece of garbage! I am tempted to ship both washer and dryer back to LG headquarters and have them do a load of wash and then dry and see what they think of their products! I also did a ton of research before investing in this set and what a major disappointment. The washing machine does not clean clothes properly, there is not enough water even with the “water plus” to move out the stains. Yes, I’ve had to rewash 2 or 3 times. Then the wrinkles are beyond wrinkles. I’ve never in my life seen such a mess of my laundry. I will wash a fitted, flat, and 2 pillow cases for a queen bed. Terrible results. I have tried with a couple articles, Terrible results. The dryer, I can’t even go there. I know how to do laundry after 50 years I know how to load a washing machine and a dryer. I also know how to read the manuals and LG gets a major fail. Most people, like myself will try and work around the issues because it’s another big hassle and a huge expense to replace but boy, am I frustrated. I have called customer support numerous times and the only response would be “that I must be loading wrong and once was asked to hold my phone by the washing machine and they would analyze the situation.” I have a land-line and the young chap didn’t know what that was. I’ve finally given up. I will never buy another LG product and as far as reviews and consumer information, well that will be with a grain of salt. I’m not sure how a consumer is supposed to make an educated decision other than I can chalk it up that I have a lemon but it looks like there’s a lot of lemons out there. When I’m ready to buy again I will not even donate these; that’s how frustrating wash day has become. Machines are approximating 3 years old. Dated November 05, 2023 @lg_canada...See Moregeorgect
