Whicn green paint for white bathroom? (Is HC too dark?)
Comments (2)It's funny that you posted that. I'm thinking about the same combination now for our bathroom. So far, I'm liking Fresh Dew better than Silken Pine (super pale green) and Pale Vista (a brighter celery). I'm also thinking about C2 Paints Mineral or Pod. I hope you'll post a picture of your bathroom if you paint it soon....See MoreWould white hex tiles/grey grout be too busy for large bathroom?
Comments (21)Thanks oaktown! Those are great pics. I very much appreciate your thoughts! I am reconsidering keeping the concrete floor. But I am worried that the concrete will stain with constant water exposure. Also, if there ever is a water main leak, it might be easier to hide any sawcut marks by replacing tile. The other reason I was thinking of tile, is I want to do the whole house in the new concrete flooring. This will be very expensive and may have to wait for a year. It might put off finishing the bathroom until then, unless I do tile....See MoreWhite paint color to pair w/ white subway tile in bathroom?
Comments (8)If trim in MBr doesn't work, try White Dove. Without seeing the tile in person I can't advise as to whether it will work. I like to prime and paint a piece of trim (about 12" or so) so I can get a good idea of the color and carry it around with me. White Dove is a no, go with a white that doesn't have obvious tones jumping out at you (yellow, pink) when you compare the tile and paint side by side. Again, working up a trim sample is always better than choosing off the paint chip. Try Cotton Balls (OC 122), Cloud White (OC-130), or Decorators White...See MoreBlack and white bathroom floor, too trendy???
Comments (12)@otterkill - Shoot me but I think the inset rug - especially the trim around it - is lovely. It was definitely design decision but I don't think you chose it because it was "trendy" back then but because it appealed to you aesthetically on a personal level. I think there is a huge difference between stuff I see that has an individual's stamp on it like your tile rug versus stuff that seems to be chosen off the rack in a ubiquitous "trendy" style which has no element revealing an individual's taste. Here's one of my inspiration photos for my balcony - a tile rug :-)...See Moreeld6161
