Blooms from the past few days

Finally getting the blooming going here in 5a. Had a first bloom on Lee's Loss this week, its second full season here. It started with two fans last season, has four fans now. The blooms held up well in the sun, no splotchy blooms.

I added Crystalline Entity this spring and have been surprised with a few blooms, the plant was huge.

i have the first blooms on Mysterious Eyes today. It was added a year ago, no blooms on its first season

Little Strawberry Shortcake, starting its third season here, it's a small bloom

here is my misnamed plant from last season, it's lovely and large, the scapes are a good 12" above the leaves. What a shame I can't id it.

A clump shot of a noid I've had in my yard for 20 years. It rained this morning and the blooms are unaffected.

First bloom for Chorus Line.

One more, Chicago Arnie's Choice, third year in the garden.

Beautiful pictures. I love your first NOID. Mysterious eyes is lovely and Little Strawberry Shortcake is cute. I have a passion for the little ones.

mantis: I can only assume the lack of water and perhaps the late snowstorm and hard freezes we had this spring set SS back. It was doing so good when we had the spring warm up and then downhill. It is one of the ones I plan to move to the back garden. Linda: I'm willing to sweat a bit to get the pounds off from all the ice cream I've been eating the past month LOL. nat4b: I usually will get about 12 - 15 buds per scape on LOTW here. I still like this one even with the bad budcount this year. Ellie and Chris: Thanks for the comments. I took the photos of the one garden section last Thursday. 'Monday was the first day without rain in 10 days'......can I switch regions with you for a week? LOL. Anyway, we did get a one day rain event, our first in an entire month. It barely put a dent in our drought. Now the forecast calls for more sunshine for another week. Weird how some places all it does is rain, and here all it does is shine. As to your lovely daylilies, I love that shot of SC Tigertail Tango and All Revved Up. Stunningly Different lives up to it's name!

All of these are lovely! The unusual form NOID is outstanding, and Lee's Loss is such a pretty lavender. Your pink NOID looks like a good performer. I have some terrific NOIDs too. I tried and tried to identify them but never did.

Little Strawberry Shortcake is a cutie. I do like some smaller flowered daylilies scattered around the larger daylillies....My favorite is Lee's Loss. Probably wouldn't be that color in my area, but sure is a lovely lavender. Actually all of yours, noids included, are so pretty.............Maryl

Wow....you are starting your season off with a bang! You sure have some pretties today. I can't choose one favorite...but I can say that several are favorites.....Lee's Loss, both of your noids, Crystalline Entity and Mysterious Eyes. They are all so lovely. I'm still waiting on mine which are always lagging behind everyone elses but I see scapes!

The rain shots (especially on the bluish ones) actually enhance the flower. Makes me nostalgic for last year, when so many lavenders were beautiful in overcast weather.
