Comments (24)Simpson is in my opinion the best "off the shelf wood door" available. Jeldwen is a pretty good door it was better when Morgan owned them but they were dumbed down a little in my opinion when they were purchased by Jeldwen. As far as the Aurora F/G door this if I am not mistaken is the IWP doors which were at the time before Jeldwen purchased them shaky at best in my honest opinion and I have seen no evidence in any of the products Jeldwen produces that they are higher quality than under the prior manufacturers....See MoreFiberglass vs Fiberglass/Wood patio sliding door
Comments (2)I have a good friend who sells replacement windows and doors and we when we replaced one of our doors last year she told me not to get fiberglass. I ended up with a steel door and I'm happy! I wasn't able to buy a door from her anyway as she lives in a different state. Her comments lead me to believe that the fiberglass just doesn't hold up as well, in the long run. Good Luck! Sue...See MoreFiberglass entryway front door
Comments (6)I installed a fiberglass Provia door in my house in Virginia Run (pictures below). It was a little pricey but I think well worth it. Even up close you can’t tell it wasn’t wood. We actually did the inside a different wood tone. I had gotten so many complements on it too! I recently moved and miss that door and can’t wait to change my current door. I’m also a Realtor in the area. Greenbriar is a sought out neighborhood, so I would feel confident in spending a little more in improvements if I owned there....See MoreWood look fiberglass entry door brands
Comments (6)Millworkman, thanks for the advice, as always. We were trying to get by more reasonably, but our guy said there is NO comparison to Provia doors. So, based on the two of you, that’s what we’ll buy. Only disappointment is the SMALL selection of 30” doors. We have a double door entry and it will cost $7000 for doors we don’t really like, as they do not offer very much in our size. Thanks again....See MoreCharles Ross Homes
