Fiberglass Garage Door and Entry Door
Comments (1)Might be a little late for you, but... We bought our front entry door from Pella. Lots of optios for customizing. I am about to order another door for the entrance to the house, from the garage. It is also Pella, with the same grain and stain color. Just different lite option. Here is our front door. Here is the door I am ordering. http://www.pella.com/doors/explore-door-styles/features-and-options.aspx?PCode=FEDGHL&PType=door#/glasscollections/ Hope that helps...See MoreFront entry door Solid wood (mahagony) or Fiberglass
Comments (24)Simpson is in my opinion the best "off the shelf wood door" available. Jeldwen is a pretty good door it was better when Morgan owned them but they were dumbed down a little in my opinion when they were purchased by Jeldwen. As far as the Aurora F/G door this if I am not mistaken is the IWP doors which were at the time before Jeldwen purchased them shaky at best in my honest opinion and I have seen no evidence in any of the products Jeldwen produces that they are higher quality than under the prior manufacturers....See MorePainting Fiberglass Entry Doors
Comments (5)I deal with these types of doors almost daily. The best way I've found to paint them is Rustoleum Exterior spray cans. I take the door of it's hinges and lay it across my saw horses. I remove all the hardware and tape around the glass. First I clean the door with a thinner to remove any dust or dirt marks. Then I spray a good first coat on the door and let it dry awhile. I'll then come back and coat it again to make sure it's well covered. Ounce this side is dry I flip the door and do it again. It turns out beautiful every time. I painted my front door a high gloss white over three years ago. Not a scratch to be seen! The exterior paint has a better hardening agent in it that makes it more durable. The ultimate way is knowing someone in the Auto Body trade. If you can get them to paint the door your really doing well. I've seen them done on doors that are over ten years old and you'd think they were brand new. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!...See MoreProvia, Jeldwen Aurora vs. Masonite 42" x 96" Fiberglass Entry Door
Comments (9)@Mark Bischak If I don't want the tall and narrow look for the entry door, does a 42x96 look more porporional? @todd The entry door is my only opening to move sofa into the living room in case sofa is over 36". I can't do it from back patio door as there's another opening which is limited at 36". I'm thinking I may have an issue with moving sofa if I don't have a 42" opening to the living room....See MoreChristopher von Simson
